Concrete screeding is dirty and hard work, but it is an integral part of floor leveling. But thanks to such a novelty as the adjustable support for the log, you can get rid of the laborious process of screeding. This method does not require much physical effort. Many breathed a sigh of relief as soon as such supports were born.

The support, adjustable for logs, is laid on a rough surface, and the slopes are set at the expense of small bars or slivers. Next, floor boards are stacked on top and screwed. The adjustable surface can consist of a variety of materials. Regardless of what you choose, the design will remain solid, and this gives confidence in its operation. Commonly used materials are:
- chipboard;
- timber (50x50 or 100x100 mm);
- plywood.
Adjustable supports for the logs are installed on the studs, which are fixed to the base of the floor. What kind of foundation will be, concrete or otherwise, is absolutely not important, since the whole structure is quite resistant to any loads. To increase the durability of the floor, all its components must be treated with an antiseptic and thoroughly dried.
Fixing system
The whole structure is fixed to the bases, which are adjustable supports for the lag. It is not so difficult to fix all the parts with your own hands, since they have an external thread and easily fall into place. An internal fastening is provided by a stud, which is screwed into the concrete base and attached to the support. But it is worth noting that if not concrete is used, but wood, then nails and dowels are replaced with wood screws.
From the foregoing, it becomes clear that the only useful tool for installing the floor is a drill or screwdriver. For particularly strong, of course, a screwdriver. If you want to raise the floor a couple of centimeters, then you can exclude lags and just use plywood or a stove. But even in such a situation, it is necessary to replace the dowel with plastic, which will later be fixed in the bushings. If you want to raise the floor by more than 5-6 centimeters, you will have to use standard metal dowels, on which the logs will be installed. And already on top of them will be laid flooring.
Adjustable support (for logs) using metal studs
To do this installation yourself, you will need:
1) studs;
2) anchors;
3) nuts;
4) washers.
All of the above components must match each other's size. That is, if the studs are sizes M8, then all other materials should be the same. Also, for installation, you will need wood screws, since they act as fasteners when installing the upper flooring. Studs should be at least a couple of centimeters above the surface.
Work sequence
The first step is to make holes in the lags, based on the depth of the nut. The calculation is made according to the diameter of the washer, and a couple of millimeters is added to it. If you use size M8, then these sizes are ideal for you:
1) Depth should be 10 millimeters.
2) Diameter - 26 millimeters.
In order to firmly insert the stud, you need to drill a hole 1 mm less. This will give fastener strength. Then you need to drill a rough floor according to the diameter of the previously prepared stud. The distance between the fasteners should not be equal to or greater than 40 centimeters. The lag is applied to the floor, and points are drawn to create holes, after which the anchors are clogged.
To collect a hairpin, special efforts or knowledge are not necessary. To do this, put on the washer and tighten the nut. These accessories act as a limiter for the stud. Why screw another nut and put on the washer. All washers tighten well, after which they install the floor.
