To date, there is evidence that already in the days of Ancient Egypt there was a tradition involving the removal of pubic hair. Then, for this purpose, a mixture was used, which included sugar and wax. Special blades were also used to shave pubic hair. They resembled modern scissors in their form. Moreover, this procedure was done by representatives of both sexes. Further this custom was adopted by the Romans along with the Greeks.
In the fourteenth century, these habits reached the point of absurdity. Representatives of the upper elite not only shaved their pubic hair, but also in every possible way decorated intimate places with special wigs. Material for their production was used only natural.
As for our time, the pubic hair of the weaker sex is more likely to shave. But recently, men have been doing this more and more often. Both those and those do this solely for aesthetic reasons. However, scientists wanted to find out whether pubic hair has any function, because nature just does nothing.
One of the versions that these people came to ascribes to them the function of retaining the aromas of secreted pheromones. These are such special chemicals that our body produces that inform our partner about their readiness for copulation.
Another theory, according to scientists, is that this hair creates a kind of barrier that prevents the penetration of various bacteria together with viruses from the environment, which can cause various genital diseases (this is more true for women, since the vegetation protects the vaginal passage ) An analogy is drawn here with the functions that are performed by the nasal hairline. But when it comes to men, it becomes completely incomprehensible why then they are absent on the foreskin or the head of the male organ, because it is through it that various infections penetrate.
There is a third assumption. It explains the presence of pubic hair by the fact that it provides heat to the genitals, thereby guaranteeing proper functioning. This explains the fact that the scrotum has a strong hairiness. If you believe this hypothesis, then when a person has pubic hair, there may be disturbances in heat transfer.
So is it worth removing hair from this delicate place or do you need to leave it? My opinion is that each person should decide for himself on his own. Given the fact that modern people protect this area with clean linen (which also helps maintain the required temperature), it’s worth removing them. After all, a warm and humid environment can contribute to the fact that various microbes will begin to multiply in it, which can have a detrimental effect on the human body.
Well, if you approach this issue from an aesthetic point of view, some men prefer that their partners have no genital hair, and some want to see various hairdressing masterpieces. In general, this is a matter of taste for everyone.
