Is there life after death: a surprise for atheists

Nobody knows for sure what will happen to us after death. In the best case, we have the revelations of religious authorities, in the worst - the speculations of esotericists. Although, of course, there are more or less interesting studies about people who have visited the border of the worlds, having been in intensive care, or simply having experienced a near-death condition outside medical institutions.

Briefly tell about my own experience of the near-death state. I was in intensive care and the situation was very difficult. It was difficult for me to breathe, and consciousness was, of course, changed. It was as if the world was obscured by fog. When everything had almost disappeared, I heard a strong man's voice: “This soul is not the time to go to court” and someone began to read the prayer “May God rise again”. At that time, I was not a believer at all, and I could not know this prayer, but it was read aloud and completely. After that, in the morning I woke up and asked if there were men in the room the day before. They told me that there was none, and no one read the prayer above me, although everyone was very scared when I felt worse. By the way, this prayer is considered one of the most powerful against demons. Who intervened? I tend to think that it was a guardian angel. Now I am an Orthodox Christian, not only by virtue of baptism, and I myself read “May God rise again” before going to bed. To the question “Is there life after death?” My answer has long been defined. And every day you have to remember the court that awaits me, and not only me.

My faith is Orthodoxy. Life after death, according to our beliefs, is what we, believers, should prepare for all our lives. Sins can be washed by the sacrament of repentance, but none of us knows how much is left for us, perhaps the next hour of our life will be the last, and we did not have time to bring repentance and appear before God for judgment in all impurity of sin.

Is there life after death? Of course, there is, but not just life, but two fundamentally different life options. On Earth, we can be unhappy, but if we remember moral laws and do everything to live in accordance with them, if our heart is always open for a person in need, we have a chance for a good future for the grave.

Is there life after death? There is, however, we cannot predict and know for sure whether we will be on the right side of the Lord Jesus Christ. Confidence that I will be saved is a sign of pride. Even the saints were not completely sure that they would be with God and the Supreme Court would not send them to the deserts of hell.

Is there life after death? All our lives we will doubt ourselves and believe in God, hope and love in order to become even one step closer to a better future beyond the grave. Of course, one must not forget about righteous deeds. However, with success, one must remember that it was God who gave us the opportunity to create, and you cannot attribute too many achievements to yourself.

Each of our wrong steps is recorded by the eternal enemies of people, and there is only one way to erase these tablets - frankly repent and confess. Atheists after death will face a cruel surprise, because they will have to answer not only for themselves, but also for everyone they tried to influence with their views. Those who were not baptized will not even be protected by the guardian angel, and those who were baptized but did not believe will be judged more strictly, along with the apostates of the faith. Therefore, baptism is a serious step and a great deal of commitment.

It is terrible to think that there are our everyday things that are not the best and that there is life after death as the result of these everyday mistakes, sins, which tend to drag out a person, not allowing him to change his mind and bring repentance.

I want us to think about what awaits us after the Lord draws a line under our not always right life. You need to look for opportunities to be on the right side, but this is not always an easy task. May there be less doubt and more faith in your life!
