Immediately before the ritual, one should take food in the circle of those gathered, using spoons for food. In order for the fortune-telling process to be fun and interesting, it is preferable to fortune-telling in a large company of people. In addition to simple ways of magic, there are also more complex ones. To carry them out, it is necessary not only the availability of cutlery at hand, but also the courage to evoke the spirit or a request for help from the brownie, who can indicate the correct answer during the divination.
Fortune telling on spoons with paper
For the ceremony, it is worth preparing the necessary props: cutlery, white paper (cut into strips of 2 cm wide and 20-30 cm long), candles, a flat dish, a towel.
To perform the ritual, it is necessary to open a window (so that there is a way for the spirit) and decide in advance which of the dead will be called. Then, sitting around, each of the audience should light a candle and put it in front of him. One of the companies in the middle of the table should put the dish, laying on it spoons and paper per each participant (all one).
After that, all participants should hold hands and say such words 3 times: "Spirit (name of the deceased), come to us. Spirit (name of the deceased), you are here, hear us and tell me the answers to the questions!" When the words are spoken, the window should be covered so that during fortune-telling on spoons the spirit does not leave the room.
Fortune-telling Rules
Each of the audience takes one spoon in his left hand and a strip of paper in his right. Then he asks himself a question to which he can answer “yes” or “no”. The strip should be folded in half, and place the handle of the spoon at the bend. After that, wrap both ends of the strip near the handle until all the paper is on the cutlery handle.
All the spoons are stacked on a dish, and one of the participants covers them with a towel and starts to twist the assembled cutlery clockwise, making about 10 revolutions. Next, the towel is removed, and each of the participants takes a spoon, the stalk of which is looking at him. The ends of both strips should be carefully taken with your fingers and unwound. In the event that the cutlery remains inside the paper, the desire will not come true. Conversely, if a strip of paper is completely unwound and the spoon remains in the free position - this means “yes”.
When the ritual is over, you need to blow out the candles, open the window, put all the props on the dish and, holding hands, say the following: “Spirit, we let you go and thank you for your help, you can return to where you came from!”
