Lamborghini Veneno: description and specifications

Lamborghini Veneno is a luxury supercar that was released by eminent Italian companies in 2013 in a limited edition. There are only three such cars on the planet. Each of them was bought for 3,400,000 euros, and all of them were sold before the premiere of the model. This is a fantastic car, and now it is worth talking about it in more detail.

Body

The basis of the Lamborghini Veneno was the base of the famous sports car "Lamborghini Aventador", which is produced to this day, starting in 2011.

The body of the model is entirely made of carbon fiber - a polymer composite material known for its rigidity, strength and low weight. It is much more reliable and easier to steel.

Thanks to the use of this material, it was possible to reduce the weight of the Lamborghini Veneno car, the photo of which is presented above, by as much as 125 kilograms, in comparison with the Aventador.

Dimensions and suspension

Lamborghini Veneno - the car is not small. In length, it reaches 5020 mm, in height - 1165 mm, and its width is 2075 mm. The wheelbase is 2700 mm.

The ground clearance, as befits supercars designed to ride on ideal tracks, is minimal - only 104 mm. Such clearance allows the car to easily overcome even the coolest turns. Plus, this car is less prone to coups, unlike models with higher ground clearance. So its wide base and low center of gravity is a practical solution.

The suspension at the Lamborghini Veneno is independent, the brakes on all wheels are ventilated. The front has a diameter of 20 inches, and the rear - 21. The width is 255 and 355 mm, respectively.

Technical specifications Lamborghini Veneno

Design

Specialists involved in the development of the appearance of this car claim that their goal was to create such an exclusive design that the Lamborghini Veneno went beyond all kinds of modern design. And I must say, they succeeded.

From razor-sharp carbon forms it is impossible to take your eyes off. But they are not only beautiful and perfectly calibrated - each detail has its own functional purpose. Everything is designed to optimize downforce as much as possible, minimize airflow resistance and increase cooling.

If we talk about some features, it is difficult to single out one thing. This car is unique in itself, but its amazing color attracts the most attention. Gray metallic is amazingly combined with a red-white-green stripe symbolizing the flag of Italy, which successfully fits into the harmonious design of the supercar's profile.

Other features of the Lamborghini Veneno include scissor doors, elegant Y-shaped headlights, a powerful aerodynamic wing in front, and a stylish red edging that adorns the wheels, side sills, rear and front panels.

Lamborghini Veneno Salon

Salon

You can not ignore the interior of the supercar. Inside, the Lamborghini Veneno looks as chic as the outside. There are only two seats - these are comfortable sports seats with pronounced lateral support, which are upholstered in high-quality Alcantara with red stitching. Naturally, they are equipped with 4-point safety belts that reliably keep the driver and passenger at high speed.

Carbon inserts, a neat 3-spoke steering wheel with large control โ€œpetalsโ€ and a dashboard, which is a display designed in the style of a fighter, also attract attention. It displays everything - from tachometer data to speed and all-round visibility.

It should also be noted how inside everything is designed ergonomically. At the top of the center console are chrome buttons for security systems, power windows and other options. A little lower is the climate control unit, the drive mode selection buttons and the key, by clicking on which you can start the engine.

Engine Lamborghini Veneno

Specifications

Naturally, appearance is not the only advantage of this supercar. The technical characteristics of the Lamborghini Veneno are also impressive. But before considering them, I would like to note that the developers, despite the tendency to use hybrid engines that were actively developing at the time of model design, decided to use a gasoline atmospheric unit anyway.

In addition, this engine has proven itself in the serial Aventador. He approached the novelty even more, because thanks to the optimization of the exhaust system and improved aerodynamics, the speed of the Lamborghini Veneno increased by 0.1, unlike its predecessor. The ratio of mass to power, by the way, is 1.93 kg / hp.

So, the technical specifications are as follows:

  • The engine is a gasoline, 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder.
  • Power - 750 horsepower.
  • Torque - 690 Nm
  • Maximum power - 8400 rpm.
  • Acceleration - from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds.
  • The maximum speed is 355 km / h.

This unit works in tandem with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. This all-wheel drive model consumes about 25 liters per 100 kilometers in the city. When driving on the highway, consumption decreases to 10 liters.

Other car features

Finally, it is worth noting the attention of those details that were not previously mentioned. In addition to those listed, Lamborghini Veneno has such features:

  • Additional brake cooling is provided by carbon fiber rings around the rims.
  • The rear wing not only looks stylish, but also creates additional downforce.
  • The developers made the pedals as massive as possible to simplify management.
  • The increased downforce has helped to increase the smoothness of control.
  • The front wings have special channels that create excellent aerodynamics.
  • The bottom of the car developers made perfectly smooth to reduce turbulence.
  • Wings extending beyond the body redirect air to brakes and radiators.
  • The rear spoiler, even if it looks overall, has an adjustment system.

In conclusion, I would like to note that some time after the release of this model, engineers created 9 Veneno roadsters. All of them were also sold out before the premiere. And the price of the roadster, by the way, is 300,000 euros more than the โ€œclosedโ€ version of Veneno.
