Freeze dried coffee

Nowadays, few people can imagine a morning without a cup of aromatic invigorating coffee. Having barely opened our eyes, we go to set up a kettle to make coffee. And only a few brew morning coffee in a Turk, because this process requires additional strength, skills and extra time. The latter, as a rule, in the morning we always miss. The usual instant coffee, which is enough to pour boiling water, is divided into several types: powdery, granular, sublimated. Freeze-dried coffee is relatively new and the most expensive of instant varieties. The production process makes it expensive, which allows you to maximally preserve all the qualities and aroma that is inherent in coffee beans. But first things first.

Freeze-dried coffee began to be produced in the 50s. The technology of its preparation is such that at first a decoction is made from coffee beans , which is frozen at very low temperatures, then with the help of low pressure in a vacuum this frozen product is dehydrated. After that, the dehydrated mass is crushed and dried with cold. With this treatment, the aroma is practically lost; for its restoration, essential oils are added to the finished product, which are extracted from steam during the brewing of coffee. The obtained small particles are wrapped in a bizarre form in glass, tin or plastic containers in which, in fact, we buy it. Thanks to this technology, which reduces the degree of thermal effect, freeze-dried coffee, in comparison with powdered and granulated, preserves the beneficial properties inherent in coffee beans to a greater extent.

Crystals of freeze-dried coffee have a uniform, dense structure, the color is light brown. If you have a real product, then when exposed to water, any, not necessarily hot, it dissolves without residue. If a fake - then all impurities and additives settle on the bottom. Pouring real freeze-dried coffee over boiling water on the surface creates a foam, and the taste and aroma are very similar to natural coffee. Another difference is the price, due to the high cost of the technological process it is much higher than other instant drinks.

It is recommended to drink freeze-dried coffee in an amount not exceeding 2 cups per day. Drinking a larger amount can negatively affect your health.

Scientists from different countries are still trying to figure out whether freeze-dried coffee will harm or benefit the human body that has consumed it. Studies conducted at manufacturing plants indicate the indisputable advantages of this drink and in terms of quality equate it to real coffee beans, claiming that it does not do any harm to health. Independent scientists say the opposite. Freeze-dried coffee, like any other, affects the digestive system - due to tannins, which are part of the product, the gastric mucosa is irritated, which threatens gastritis or even an ulcer. Such diseases can also provoke coffee drunk on an empty stomach. The liver perceives coffee as a poison and fights it. With regular use, it is overloaded, and all kinds of liver diseases can occur. The kidneys also suffer from this drink, because freeze-dried coffee produces a diuretic effect and with constant use, the human body is dehydrated. Also, this drink removes calcium and potassium from the body, stimulates appetite. But in addition to the negative effects of coffee, it also has positive qualities. Everyone knows about its invigorating and tonic effect on the body. Many people believe that the use of this drink helps to cope with drowsiness, depression, apathy, lethargy, increases working capacity and helps to get together.

Whether or not to drink freeze-dried coffee, everyone decides for himself. But despite all the disagreements of scientists about the harm and benefits of this drink, they agree on one thing - if there is such an opportunity, then it is better to drink a mug of freshly brewed natural coffee.
