Apples make delicious, varied and, most importantly, light desserts. Apples can be added to fruit salad, baked on the grill, cut into slices. You can stuff them with cottage cheese or dried fruits and cook in the oven. From fruit, you can make mousse, homemade marshmallows, crumble or make apple chips. And this is not the whole list of desserts from apples. Today we want to bring to your attention only a small fraction of interesting desserts from these fruits.
Low calorie apple dishes
Most people on the planet are very fond of sweets. Sweets are considered a valuable source of serotonin, the so-called hormone of happiness. The presence of delicious desserts in the diet helps us calm down, cheer up, and at least temporarily forget about our problems and troubles. How to get out of the situation for those who, for example, are on a diet? There is a way out: you can cook low-calorie desserts from various fruits. We propose to prepare a healthy and delicious diet dessert from apples.
Sorbet
We can definitely say that not all desserts made from apples are dietary. The best option is to make the following dishes from these fruits: baked apples, pastille, fruit salad, marmalade, sorbet, marshmallows. To prepare the sorbet we need:
- apples - 3 pcs.;
- lemon - 3 pcs.;
- water - 200 ml;
- vanillin;
- fructose - 150 g.
Pour 100 ml of water into the pan and add the juice of one lemon. Peel the apples, cut them into small pieces and add to the container with fructose. Stew for a quarter of an hour. Using a mixer, beat the apples in a puree state and put them in the refrigerator for 3 hours. In another container, squeeze the juice from two lemons, vanillin and the remaining water. The resulting mixture is brought to a boil, cooled and combined with the apple mixture. We lay out in any available molds (you can insert sticks) and freeze.
Apple-curd dessert
We bring to your attention another interesting and light dessert made from apples and cottage cheese. It is better to take cottage cheese of not very high fat content to get a less high-calorie dish. To prepare it, we need very few products:
- 3 apples
- some liquor;
- 2.5 tbsp. l Sahara;
- vanilla;
- a glass of cottage cheese.
Put the apples into small cubes, spread in a saucepan, sprinkle with sugar on top. Stew on low heat until soft. Grind the cottage cheese along with vanilla and a little sugar with a blender. We will prepare beautiful tall glasses - we will put our apple dessert in them. At the bottom, put a small layer of cottage cheese, a layer of apples on it and pour a little liquor. Next, put the cottage cheese again, then apples and liquor, repeat the procedure several more times. In the end, you get about six layers. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. Before serving, it is recommended to cool the dessert a bit.
Spicy dessert
We recommend preparing a very unusual apple dessert in a hurry. It cooks very quickly; it does not take too much time to cook it. It turns out a very tasty dish with a piquant taste. Take:
- five apples;
- 1 tbsp. l horseradish;
- salt;
- a glass of yogurt;
- 4 tbsp. l lingonberries (fresh or frozen);
- ground cloves;
- 4 tsp Calvados (liquor);
- cinnamon
- pepper.
I’m washing the apples, we remove one aside, and cut the rest into two parts, remove the core and pulp. We get original cups from fruits. We clear the shelved apple from the peel and seeds and combine with the pulp from the remaining apples, chop in a blender. In the finished puree, add cinnamon, cloves, yogurt, pepper, calvados, lingonberries, and horseradish. Salt and pepper to taste. We spread the prepared mixture in apple cups, decorate with lingonberries.
What are good recipes for apple desserts
Sweet apple dishes are presented in a huge assortment of a wide variety of sweets. Although such desserts are slightly inferior in usefulness to fresh fruits, still they are somewhat higher in nutritional value and much more useful than the notorious cakes and pastries.
Apple pastille
Such a delicacy is especially popular in the southern regions of our country, where huge fruit crops are harvested. You can cook it from apricots, plums, currants and other fruits and berries. In our recipe, we will use apples as a main ingredient for a delicious dessert. We will prepare:
- 1.5 kg of apples;
- 1 tsp zest of orange;
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 200 g of black currant;
- 1 tbsp. l honey.
Remove the seeds from the apples and peel them. We cut the fruits, put them in a slow cooker, use the “baking” mode and cook for 40 minutes. After 10 minutes from the beginning of the process, add natural honey, cinnamon and orange zest. After half an hour we get the mashed potatoes, cool a little, and whisk with a blender. 10 minutes before the end of cooking, add currants, and then whisk again.
We prepare the leaves of parchment paper for baking and lay on it a layer of about 4-7 millimeters with fruit and berry puree and level with a spatula. Dry in the open air, in good weather for about a week. If you do not have such an opportunity, you can dry it in the oven. It will take about three to four hours, with a temperature regime of up to 100 degrees and a slightly open oven door. We randomly cut the dried pastille into strips, lay it with parchment and turn it into rolls. It is best to store this apple dessert in paper bags, hermetically sealed glass jars, or other containers.
Apple chips
Such a dessert turns out to be very tasty, crispy, in addition, it looks very impressive visually. Due to the fact that it contains many useful trace elements and a large amount of vitamin C, such chips can easily compete even with various citrus candied fruits. In addition, those who adhere to proper nutrition can use them as snacks. It is such a simple apple dessert that we want to recommend to you. We will prepare:
- cinnamon - ½ tsp;
- stevia - 1 tsp;
- apples - 4 pieces.
We heat the oven to a temperature of 90-95 degrees. The washed apples are cut into thin plates, gently remove the middle from them. On a baking sheet, covered with parchment, put apple circles in one layer, sprinkle cinnamon and stevia on top. Drying continues for one and a half hours, then we turn the apples on the other side and dry for another hour. After that, turn off the oven and leave the apple chips for a few more hours or even at night. Store in a sealed container.
Apple marmalade
If you want to eat right and wholesome and be sure of the quality of the product, we recommend making homemade marmalade - an apple dessert that is quick to prepare and also very tasty. Components for marmalade:
- three large apples;
- cinnamon on the tip of a knife;
- 1 tbsp. l pectin (gelatin).
Cut the peeled apples into slices, place in the microwave at maximum power for 10 minutes. After which, beat apples in mashed potatoes, add cinnamon and pour dry gelatin. Stir until the latter is completely dissolved. While still hot, pour the mixture into molds, cool a little and put in the refrigerator. By the way, it is worth noting that in such a dessert of apples, only 60 kcal per 100 g of product. Please note that in this marmalade recipe sugar is completely absent. In addition, it has a number of advantages: it consists of natural products, which means it is more useful and safe. In the event that you are on a diet, the product will not do you any harm.
Marshmallows
Not everyone decides to make this simple dessert from apples at home, consider it a rather difficult task. In fact, its preparation is not worth much effort. And self-made marshmallows are much tastier and healthier than the marshmallows. Components:
- 4 large apples;
- 725 g of sugar;
- egg protein;
- 8 g of agar-agar;
- 15 g vanilla sugar;
- 160 ml of water.
Making a dessert from apples according to the recipe: we clean and cut the fruit into slices, bake in the oven or in the microwave until soft. We make mashed potatoes from them, set aside 250 g, add vanilla sugar and 250 g sugar to it, let it cool well. Put the cooled mashed potatoes into the mixer cup, start whipping and add ½ part of the protein to it, whisk for a couple more minutes and add the rest of the protein. Continue to whisk until the mass turns white and increases in volume.
Agar-agar is mixed with water, this can be done in advance. We will prepare agar-agar: put it on fire and bring to a boil, add 475 g of sugar to it, mix well and cook for about 4 minutes. The fire should be reduced immediately after boiling the mass.
We continue to whip the apple puree, remove the agar-agar from the heat and pour it in a thin stream in the puree, continuing to beat, and then beat for another 5 minutes. Having received a stable foam, we place the mass in confectionery bags (choose nozzles as desired). Squeeze the marshmallows on the sheets and leave to dry on the table for about 12 hours. When they dry out a bit, connect them in pairs.
Baked apples
In the Christian calendar, there are days when it is necessary to abandon fast-food products, such as meat, eggs, milk, and others containing fats and proteins. For those who fast, we recommend making a very healthy and delicious lean apple dessert. Baked fruits in the oven are cooked very quickly, and replacing some ingredients with others, you can change the taste of the dish. We will prepare:
- apples by the number of servings;
- for each fruit, one tsp. honey;
- any berries (both fresh and frozen are suitable);
- nuts
- some powdered sugar.
Using a narrow knife in apples, we make a depression to the middle of the core, remove the seeds. We fill it with different berries, pour honey and sprinkle with chopped nuts. The main thing that you should pay attention to when preparing this dish is not to overexpose the apple dessert in the oven, but also not to take it out ahead of time. Bake until soft apples. You can sprinkle powdered sugar on top, or you can do without it, because the dessert is already very sweet.
Apple, Kiwi and Celery Smoothie
Based on apples, you can prepare a lot of delicious and truly healthy dessert drinks. It can be jelly, stewed fruit, soft drinks, ciders. We want to offer to make a drink very popular recently - a smoothie of fruits and vegetables. It is necessary to take:
- two green apples;
- celery stalk;
- two kiwis;
- half a glass of water.
Peel the apples and kiwi and cut into small cubes. The celery stalk (without leaves) is finely chopped. Put the prepared ingredients in a blender, add water and grind. Pour the cooked dessert from apples into a cocktail dish and serve immediately. Bon Appetit!
Apple jam
And finally, we present another recipe for apple dessert: delicious and amazingly beautiful apple jam. Apples of the Antonovka variety are suitable for our recipe. It is best to use the fruit a little bit unripe, still dense, immediately after they have been removed from the tree. For work, you need one kilogram of Antonovka apples and sugar.

I thoroughly wash the apples and with the help of a special knife we remove the middle. Cut the fruit into slices 5-10 mm thick. In a large container, we lay the apples in an even layer and sprinkle with sugar, then again we put a layer of apples and sugar. We continue this procedure until the products run out. We leave apples with sugar until morning. The next morning they will give a lot of juice, and almost all of the sugar will dissolve. We put it on a small fire, bring it to a boil, hold for 5 minutes, and then turn off the stove. Leave our apples alone for a few hours. Then bring to a boil again, keep on low heat for five minutes and remove from heat. Slices of apples that rise up, gently weap a spoon into the syrup.
On the morning of the next day we boil again, and in the evening we bring to readiness. Cook for a quarter of an hour until a drop of syrup spreads on the surface of the saucer. It turns out delicious amber-colored jam with apple slices that have not lost their integrity.
