What is the best way to use for cooking a delicious barbecue - firewood or coals? There is no single answer to this question. Of course, if you have a lot of time for this process and you are a true connoisseur of a real kebab, then you need to opt for firewood. Which ones to choose is only your preference. And if speed is the main thing for you, but at the same time the meatβs taste and juiciness are no different, then you need to use coals for barbecue. Only here you need to know some rules for their purchase and use.

Let's find out how to choose them and how to kindle coal for barbecue. Today you can find them at gas stations, in construction stores and in bazaars. They are sold in bags of different weights. Also, you can immediately purchase a special liquid, which significantly speeds up the process of ignition. Remember that they should not include kerosene or gasoline, which simply spoil the taste of your meat. It is also recommended to smell the incendiary mixture: if there is a smell of alcohol or floral fragrances, then it is better not to buy it. Charcoal for barbecue is considered the best. Do not forget to look at the storage date, if it is more than 2 years old, then it is better not to buy it, since it will burn out very quickly.
Now we turn to the process of kindling. Spread the charcoal and pour it with a small amount of liquid, wait a bit and singe. When it flares up, add the same amount and let them flare up. Separate the kebab coals, which are laid out at the edges so that the middle does not burn. As soon as they are covered with white ash, then brush it off and you can put the meat.
I propose to take different coals for barbecue and choose the best one. We take 3 different options:
1. Hardwood briquettes
Made in the form of cubes, they easily flare up, and even burn out. If you use a kindling fluid, first let the briquettes soak. Enough for two sets of meat, which is quite enough for a family feast.
2. For hardwood grill
Here, for kindling, it is necessary to use a special liquid. Coals for barbecue small size. To get enough heat, you need to add liquid several times. This option is also suitable for a small company.
3. Oak coal
It is a large piece that will have to be kindled for a long time. But the number of fry at the same time will increase significantly, so this option is especially for large companies.
It remains to consider several important rules:
- Do not pour out liquid while burning material, as this may result in a burn;
- coals for barbecue are very hot, so always remember the precautions;
- store briquettes in a tightly closed bag in a cool place where moisture does not enter;
- for quick kindling, set the coals with a pyramid;
- On average, it takes 15-20 minutes for the coals to flare up and you can start cooking meat. Always remember that the taste of meat directly depends on what you will fry it on and how. Therefore, when choosing coal for barbecue, consider all the nuances.
