First, he graduated from high school, then served his due time in the army, then worked as a driver at the Novovoronezh NPP. Soon he entered the theological seminary in the correspondence department, he had to combine his studies with work at a brick factory.

In 1992, he began to serve in the St. Nicholas Church of Filippovsky, which was almost destroyed. But Archpriest Stakhiy did not give up difficulties and began to restore it, attracting parishioners to this. As a result, he turned it into a holy miracle of the Russian countryside. The old man put a lot of his physical and mental strength into his monastery, and for this selfless work he was not left without attention. The Russian Orthodox Church awarded him high awards - orders of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince. He served Saturday and Sunday services and made no complaints. According to the head of the temple, at about 19.00 he joked with her, and it was evident that he felt cheerful, but by midnight he had a heart attack, and his heart stopped.

The funeral
On Monday night, the local metropolitan arrived at the church. And by 9 a.m. just before the service, a lot of people came to the village of Filippovskoye, everyone wanted to touch the hand of a pious old man. Like a living father Stakhii was lying in a tomb. The Filippovskoye village, meanwhile, received a large number of pilgrims and other people who were not indifferent to the death of the priest.
The funeral was attended by another son of Stakhiy's father, and also a daughter came from Ukraine with her priest husband and children. People could not hold back tears. After all, many were healed by the prayers of their spiritual father, who performed real miracles. Everyone was amazed at how such a powerful spiritual strength and efficiency hid in such a fragile elderly person.
After the morning service, the local bishop arrived on the day of the funeral and served a memorial service. It ended at 15.00, and already then the body of the old man was taken out by the priests from the church and brought by a procession to the grave.
The grave was prepared according to the will of Father Stakhiy, it is located on the left near the altar of the temple, on the left between two trees, where there is only peace, grace and tranquility. At the grave, the local bishop delivered a farewell speech, and the priest was buried. Then funeral tables with kutya, pancakes and sandwiches were prepared for people.
