Arrogance is a reassessment of one’s own capabilities

Arrogance is a quality inherent in many people. Her negative impact is that she inclines to excessive and unjustified confidence in her abilities, strengths, abilities, capabilities and in the presence of eternal good luck.

presumption is

Reassessment of one’s strength is a completely logical, normal state of human nature. It is thanks to this quality that discoveries are made, new open spaces are explored, records are set and worlds are conquered. Arrogance lives a separate life and leads a person. It is a separate mind that knows everything and knows how, understands everything better than others.

Arrogance from childhood

That is why it is believed that presumption is recklessness. Usually this quality is inherent in children under 10 years old who have not yet learned to doubt themselves, who believe that they can do everything, and sometimes even try to fly. Smart parents can always unobtrusively explain, prove to the child the opposite, in order to bring him out of the fantasy world into real life.

Excessive arrogance may be inherent in a young athlete conquering new heights. So, the trainer's task is to teach the ward to focus energy on real possibilities, which will lead to victory, and not to a fantasy result inspired by self-confidence.

Presumptuousness - a question of psychological sciences

Self-confidence is the most common psychological problem. It is possible that it is internal conflicts that are the cause of its occurrence. Naive thoughts and, to some extent, exaltation of one’s abilities are arrogance, synonymous with ignorance. It pushes a person who does not possess the necessary knowledge and skills to actions that he may regret in the future. Or, with a positive outcome of the event, it instills in the person the feelings that inspire her.

Criminal arrogance is a matter of life and death.

This creates a new degree of psychological problem - criminal self-confidence. It is this quality of the individual that carries the potential danger, and not only for the individual suffering from this vice, but also for the whole society. A clear example is the arrogance of a doctor. Of course, if the doctor does not undertake to cure the most hopeless cases of the disease, then there is no need to talk about any progress in medicine.

But the doctor’s criminal self-confidence makes him rely only on his own opinion when making a diagnosis and choosing treatment methods, which, unfortunately, can lead to death.

The given example from medical practice is the most striking, but similar shortcomings can occur in people of different professions. Perhaps their excessive arrogance will not cause such a quick reaction, but it can be reflected in no less problems both for themselves and their environment.

arrogance

Impunity is the cause of overconfidence

Probably inexperienced arrogance is the result of a lack of punishment. So, doing things, a person who does not know the punishment, unnecessarily hopes only for a positive outcome of the plan. This person assumes that the power that she possesses will be quite enough, her plan of action is ideal, the only right one, leading directly to the goal. For such people, the only right decision always belongs to them. This is precisely the main problem of their adaptation in society.

Such people not only do not have friends who understand and approve of their behavior, but also very often make mistakes. This applies to almost all areas of activity: both personal life and professional.

This is the main reason that makes us fight this psychological problem. Here, professional psychotherapists and daily hard work on yourself will come to the rescue.
