The Greek salad, a favorite of healthy food lovers, whose recipe is very simple, can be a great addition to both a festive and everyday table. Its preparation does not require special skills and extra time. The components included in its composition are very useful. Greek salad, called rustic in its homeland, is an excellent combination of fresh vegetables, herbs, salted cheese and light dressing. It is not too high-calorie, but at the same time quite satisfying. To all the positive qualities of this dish, you can add its magnificent appearance. An oil-based dressing emphasizes the vibrant colors of the vegetables used, which look especially attractive in combination with snow-white cheese.
There are several ways to prepare this wonderful dish, but if you want to cook a classic Greek salad, the recipe should be like this:
Four servings of Greek salad.
100 g of salted cheese (feta or feta cheese)
250 g tomatoes
150 g bell pepper
200 g of cucumbers
70 g onion (preferably red)
70 g of olives (necessarily seedless)
A few lettuce leaves
For refueling you will need:
3 tbsp. l oils (preferably olive, but also vegetable)
Black pepper
2 tbsp. l soy sauce
1 tbsp. l lemon juice
Cucumbers, bell peppers and tomatoes must be thoroughly washed before preparing the salad. Chop vegetables should not be too small, otherwise the finished dish will look less appetizing.
Tomatoes need to be selected ripe, but not too soft. Cut them into medium slices.
Cucumbers should be with small seeds. We cut them into slices.
Onion cut into half rings. To save him from excessive bitterness, you can slightly scald the chopped onion with boiling water.
Bell peppers are thoroughly cleaned from seeds and then cut into half rings. To make the appetizer look brighter, use yellow pepper.
Olives need to be cut into 4 parts or rings. Not which do not cut olives, but stack them whole on vegetables.
Rinse the lettuce leaves well and place them on the salad plate.
After the ingredients are chopped, mix them and put on a plate with salad leaves. The salad can be replaced with Chinese cabbage or romaine lettuce.
Then you need to prepare a dressing. Greek salad dressing is prepared as follows: mix the oil with lemon juice and soy sauce, then add black pepper, and mix everything again.
