If a sports enthusiast during his classes works with a lot of weight, that is, performs anaerobic training, you need a diet not only with a high protein content (for the growth and development of muscle mass), but also nutrition with increased energy value. So after a workout, eating dishes with a high content of the listed ingredients is best. For example, you can choose a chicken and rice dish. When the question โwhat should I eat after training?โ Is asked by an athlete with cardio loads, that is, one who performs aerobic training (such as running at a slow pace, walking, swimming and other exercises without weights), the answer will be somewhat different, than in the previous case.
In this situation, the energy consumption, most often, is not as large as in the previous case, so you can eat fish and fish products, as well as vegetables. It is possible to leave for a post-workout meal and chicken with porridge, but the volume of such a portion should be much less.
Speaking about the athleteโs food after classes, one should not forget that you can eat sports nutrition after training, created taking into account high physical exertion. Today on the shelves of sports stores you can see many different additives. Some strengthen the ligamentous apparatus, others actively restore physical strength after training. However, do not buy everything that is. After training, you primarily need a protein-carbohydrate mixture (gainers). Containing a significant amount of protein to restore muscle fibers, as well as carbohydrates, which easily make up for the energy shortage of the body, this sports nutrition is ideal for any athlete.
However, there are always exceptions to any rule. So if you do not dream to gain (increase) muscle mass, then such sports nutrition will not suit you. What is after training people who want to lose weight? Firstly, do not eat carbohydrates. When choosing specialized foods, opt for proteins or amino acids. The latter, although more expensive, are more effective, since they do not require additional costs for digestion (breaking down proteins into amino acids) and enter the blood within five to ten minutes after consumption. When choosing regular foods, also give preference to protein foods. Perfectly suitable: poultry, beef, eggs, milk and dairy products, fish.
Thus, what is after training depends only on you and on what results you want to achieve. It is worth noting that playing sports and increasing the protein content in your diet, you need to use an increased amount of fluid. The recommended norm in this case is three liters per day.
