Choose a place for the working corner

Most often, such a corner is in the living room or bedroom. But in this case, one must not forget about the existence of certain rules for the placement of the workplace. The main one is the presence of natural light on the left hand of the table.
Separate room

What could be closer to the window than the windowsill! And I must say that this option is very common not only in homes, but also in some offices. Implementing it is not at all difficult. If the windows in your house have wide window sills, then one of them may well become a workplace. Buy a suitable office chair and install a bookcase next to it. If a battery is located under the windowsill, which happens quite often, then it is better to transfer it, since it will interfere with your comfort.
In some houses, especially old buildings, window sills are narrow, which does not allow them to be used as a work surface. But one can also find a way out of this situation - the window sill can be extended by replacing it with a countertop, which is fixed at the side walls. If the window sill is too long, you will need another fulcrum in the middle. This role can play a stand. In this case, you will get two jobs at once.
Near the window you can hang several shelves for storing documentation. The advantage of such a workplace is natural light and a pleasant view from the window.
Living room with a workplace
Kitchens and living rooms are the most commonly used rooms for other purposes. In addition to meeting relatives and friends here, preparing and eating food, they often sleep, celebrate holidays, do needlework and work. Why is this happening? Yes, because most of the time these rooms are free, they have a table and a chair for work. But still, such a decision is most often a necessary measure. This option is very common in small apartments, so experts have developed a set of rules for the design of a living room with a workplace.
Its main provisions can be formulated as follows:
- high-quality lighting;
- close proximity of all necessary items;
- the location in the immediate vicinity of power supplies for computers and household appliances;
- the working area should be as far away as possible from the living or dining area.
If your living room is spacious, organize a home mini-office between two windows, putting a table and a chair (or armchair), made in the style in which the whole room is decorated. For example, if this is hi-tech, then you will need furniture with chrome details or from transparent or colored plastic. For classics, a high-quality table made of natural wood or antique furniture is suitable.
Design bedroom with a workplace
Another option for the organization of the workspace, if there is no additional space for the office. True, the bedrooms in our apartments are not so large that it would be possible to organize full-fledged mini-offices in them. This drawback can be eliminated by replacing the bedside table with a small computer table. This option is easy to implement and it will not make you sacrifice the appearance of the bedroom or change its interior as a whole.
