Military discipline. Company duty officer

Military discipline consists in strict observance of all the rules and orders that are prescribed by the military charter or orders of higher officials. They are binding on all personnel. Each soldier must observe discipline and be aware of his duty to the homeland.

To maintain internal order and monitor compliance with all rules and orders, a daily outfit is assigned . It consists of a company duty officer and company officers. They monitor the internal order, guard personnel, equipment, weapons, premises and other property.

The duties of a company duty officer are stipulated in the charter as a separate clause and consist in the strict implementation of all norms and rules. He cannot leave the post without the special order of the duty officer on the regiment.

The company duty officer is obliged, in case of an alarm, to raise the entire personnel, to notify all military personnel and to obey the officer on duty on the regiment before the arrival of the higher management. The daily duties of the company duty officer include monitoring the execution of the routine and raising personnel at a strictly set time. He should know the number of military personnel, their location (on duty, in the infirmary, those arrested, dismissed or transferred to headquarters). In addition, he should be aware of the amount of weapons available and their consumption.

The duty of the company duty officer is to issue weapons (only if there is a corresponding order from the company commander). At the same time, entries are made in the book, in which the facts of the consumption of ammunition are recorded. After the delivery of weapons, the company duty officer checks its equipment and compliance with the personnel number. He must keep the keys to the premises with weapons and in no case pass them to third parties.

In case of emergency, the company duty officer must take measures to eliminate the disturbances. Then he should report this to the higher authorities. The company on duty is responsible for the safety and serviceability of the fire system and fire fighting equipment. He monitors compliance with fire safety rules, and in the event of a fire, ensures the adoption of measures to eliminate it. If there is an appropriate order from the duty officer on the regiment, he is obliged to close the doors of the barracks and stop access by unauthorized persons without special permission from higher persons.

The company duty officer submits primarily to the foreman of the company. The duties of the foreman of the company include ensuring order, changing the daily outfit and monitoring the execution of orders. The duty of the company duty officer is to fulfill the orders of the foreman of the company on the employment of personnel. He must ensure the construction of the unit at the appointed time and report on this to the appropriate persons. When leaving the premises, the duty officer is obliged to transfer his powers to the daily. It is the duty of the daily company to replace the person on duty at the time of his absence.

During the morning building, the company duty officer is obliged to report to the duty officer on the regiment about all incidents. He must monitor compliance with sanitary standards, cleaning of premises, necessary lighting, heating, the presence of drinking water and the cleanliness of the fixed area. The company on duty monitors the order during meals, submits applications to the dining room according to the presence of personnel. He is obliged to report to higher authorities, as well as to inspectors in the form prescribed by the charter.

The orderly by company is subordinate to the duty officer. He is obliged to serve in the office entrusted to him, not to let strangers in, report to his superiors about all incidents, and take measures to eliminate unrest and emergency situations.
