The computer does not turn on? Black screen? Do not panic! First you need to check the power status of the system unit. Most computers are now connected to the network using a Pilot type extension cable splitter, and the fact of power supply is controlled by a luminous signal light on it.
However, due to the design features of some models, a situation may arise when electricity is not supplied to the device. The solution is simple: switch the plug of the system cord to another connector. Having repair skills, you can subsequently restore the extension cord by performing an audit of the internal elements.
The next reason why the computer does not turn on may be a loose contact at the point where the cord connector is connected to the system unit. You need to remove the cord and reconnect it, you can also try to connect the corresponding wire from the monitor to the system unit (usually they are identical).
Cooling
Many motherboards have a logical mechanism that interrupts the power supply in the absence of signals from the cooling system fans. So, everyone who has ever wondered why the computer does not turn on knows that you need to open the cover of the case and make sure that the fan blades (especially the processor) rotate, and are not blocked by long-term dust.
In other words, the components of the system unit should be cleaned from contamination.
Button
One of the common reasons why the computer does not turn on is a malfunction of the button on the case. When it is pressed inside, two contacts are closed for a short time, giving a command to supply power to the motherboard. Their bending due to excessive exposure or dust contamination leads to a breakdown of this kind. The solution is simple: you should open the system case, find the block with the designation Power (PWR), disconnect the corresponding connector from the button from it, and close the two pin contacts on the board with a screwdriver. In fact, thereby the operation of the button will be duplicated. If the computer turns on, it means you need to repair or change the Power button.
Disruption of contact on the board
For the correct operation of most modern motherboards, two voltage lines must be supplied: the main one through a wide comb-connector, and the additional one using a four-pin plug. Sometimes when assembling the system unit, the auxiliary is simply forgotten, because of which the computer does not respond at all to the press of the power button. It is necessary to check the correct connection of all connectors to the board according to the instructions.
