Orenburg Football Club has returned to the Russian Premier League (RFPL) with an old problem. Gazovik FC Orenburg stadium, where the team holds home matches, seats 7,000 spectators, and according to the rules of the Premier League, at least 10,000 are needed. However, in Orenburg they are going to solve this problem by the new season.
Stadium as a stumbling block
Back in 2016, when the Orenburg Gazovik entered the Premier League for the first time in its history, the insufficient capacity of the namesake stadium hung over the team of the Damocles' sword.
The city announced that they would build a stadium in Orenburg on the model of the Khimki Arena near Moscow even meeting international standards. However, the statement remained a statement.
As a result, renamed "Orenburg" "Gazovik" forgiven. The RFPL leadership made a ādiscountā on the clubās newness and, threatening it with a finger, strictly said: āWell, itās obligatory next seasonā. The next season, of course, came and ... the problem resolved by itself: āOrenburgā retired to the first division (aka the National Football League).
At the end of the 2017/2018 season, the question again arose: āOrenburgā again won a place in the elite.
Not a stadium, so a podium
On May 6, Orenburg issued a ticket to the top, and in the third decade of the same month another message arrived. There is no money for a completely new stadium in Orenburg, but the Gazovik stadium, where Orenburg plays, will receive a high-rise (five-story) roomy platform. The current northern stand will be demolished, where the novelty will be located. The location of the new grandstand is not very good (behind the gates), but there is nowhere to go - there is practically no free space around the stadium located in the suburban village of Orenburg Rostosh. From the south, the stadium is supported by an ice palace, and from the east and west - private buildings.
I must say that the Gazovik stadium has always had a capacity problem. After all, he began his ācareerā in 2002 as a small local village stadium. No one had ever thought that some Moscow Spartak would ever play here. Therefore, even in the requirements of FNL, he hardly fit. Previously, the stadium had only 4200 seats. In 2016, after a major reconstruction, a new rostrum appeared near the stadium in Orenburg and the capacity increased to 7,500 seats (although some sources cite the figure 6400).
We're not going to Dynamo
There is also an old Dynamo stadium (Orenburg) in the city (built in 1936). Moreover, it is located in the very center and in fact is perhaps the most central sports facility in the city. However, the stadium renovated in 2016 is on the balance sheet of the Ministry of the Interior, which is the owner of it. Here in the winter, their local matches in the Russian hockey championship are held by the local Lokomotiv. Also in winter, the Dynamo stadium (Orenburg) pampers the townspeople with a large ice rink. "Gas" easier to play on their possessions. The option of reconstructing Dynamo for football was discussed, but no more. But it is also not very roomy: 5000 seats.
Engineering Miracle in the North
Preparations for the start of the construction of a new rostrum are already underway. Itās just that Orenburg no longer has time to put off. There is a risk not to be in time again, but the RFPL leadership promised to forgive again, provided that construction begins. In this case, the matches will be held in the form of construction.
At least 10,000 seats for the Premier League will have a stadium with a grandstand. Although the figure is also called 12,000. How much will the new building not reported. Apparently, until the end, all the details have not yet been calculated.
The project was engaged in the Orenburg design workshop "Architek". She tried to take into account everything necessary. Most importantly: 4713 spectators can immediately sit on the podium. Additional parking lots will be located next to the property. On the ground floor there will be team locker rooms, a conference room and technical rooms. From the second floor - access to the stands of the first tier. Here you can also visit the gift shop. On the floor and a gym with a medical center. The third floor is administrative. Here will be the administration of the stadium, the press box and a separate exit to the podium. Fourth floor - communication zone, access to the stands of the second tier, food court "Food Court". Fifth floor - VIP and governor's lodges and a separate exit to fresh air. The sixth floor is another communication hall and access to the stands of the third tier. Total total area of āāthe structure will be 10 846 m 2 .
