The appearance of the gun is very presentable, although it does not purport to be laurels of collectibles. First of all, elaborate design elements are striking: intricate staples and butt plates of the stock, selections on the forend, triangular shape of the fuse button and so on and so forth. In general, manufacturers have gone from conciseness and simplicity to more luxurious notes. Pleasing is the weight of the gun, which is a miserable 3.15 kg. Of course, lighter ones are also found among imported specimens, but the price also makes itself felt, exceeding similar indicators of domestic rifles by 15-20%. Here, the attention of any hunter will fall on the MP-155. Tuning, by the way, is an integral part of all guns, which allows you to get rid of factory defects or improve the performance of the gun itself. If we talk about design, you can apply applications with which your purchase will look more elegant and more impressive.
Fans of the MR line endlessly argue about which concept is better: the one that was in the MP-153, where the gun was intended more for "tight" shooting, or the MP-155, which already allows for easy hunting. There are already so many people - so many opinions. If we talk about what the characteristics of the MP-155 are, then here you can observe some differences between the 155th and 153rd. Of course, here the gun became a little less, where the length varies from 610 to 750 mm, depending on various modifications and tuning elements. Weight ranges from 3.15 to 3.25 kg.
MP-155: tuning in the winter
Winter hunting is extremely important for any hunter, however, the beast can be frightened by the sight of the gun, which stands out against the general background in dark color. Of course, you can use the above applications, but their cost is quite high, which is a good reason for the Russian inhabitants. In this case, you can paint the weapon white, but such a radical move does not justify itself, because winter is a seasonal matter, and nobody wants to repaint the gun every time. And here folk methods can come to the rescue, about which we will tell in more detail.
If you decide to use the MP-155 gun during the winter hunting period, you can use ordinary women's tights as camouflage, which perfectly cope with their camouflage task. This is done as follows: we take a red-hot nail, with which we make small holes in the wardrobe element, after which we fix them on the gun with a white cloth or a plaster. The method is short-lived, but it will cost a miserable 100-150 rubles.
If you don’t like this approach, you can use a gauze medical bandage. There is a significant drawback of this method - bandages quickly unravel on the threads, and also cling to any surface when moving. In this case, elastic bandages will come to the rescue. Finally, if this is not to your liking, a white mounting tape that sells in any construction shops will do just fine with such a non-trivial task.
Gun barrel
This element of the gun is made of aviation aluminum brand B95, which is famous for its strength and quality. In addition, most manufacturers of guns use this particular material, so that Russian manufacturers are in no way behind foreign colleagues.
In order to reduce the weight of the barrel, the engineers decided to modify the aiming plate, which became arched. In previous versions, as you remember, it was soldered along the entire length of the barrel. Of course, the weight was reduced, but all this created problems with the fastening of the strip itself, which must be soldered with silver-containing solder. Innovation has long been asking for implementation, because the old forms clearly slowed down progress as a whole. The width of the aiming plate became slightly higher - 6.8 mm in the MP-155 gun against 5.9 mm in the 153rd.
Speaking of fixing the strap. At first glance it seems that it is soldered tightly, but upon closer inspection, you can see 7 pins, with which this element is attached to the trunk. The quality of the guilloche is slightly inferior to that in the 153rd.
Box types
Depending on the caliber of the cartridges, there are 2 types of receiver for our hero. Caliber, as you might guess, is also 2: 12x76 and 12x89. The long-awaited surprise was the collimator grooves located on top. To increase versatility, the upper part of the box got a flat, which allowed to reduce the required height of the bracket supports. Separate grooves also awaited integration into a single part. At the same time, the guilloche disappeared, which significantly worsened the convenience of aiming. Unlike the MP-153 box, here it also became shorter.
Bodykits on the gun
Today there are many body kits that can be put on the MP-155. Tuning the gun will allow you to aim better, help in the dark, or improve the quality of shooting. Now we will talk about installing a collimator sight, flashlight and bracket.
As for the first, collimators are open and closed. In turn, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. Closed, for example, is better protected from mechanical damage, while open has better compactness, presentable appearance, as well as greater visibility than that of a competitor. Be that as it may, the owner of the MP-155 gun decides. The price of collimators is different, starting from a mark of 4000 rubles and reaching 100 thousand. Such a large variation is characterized by quality, brand and the depth of various settings.
An arm kit can also become an important body kit, which allows you to maximize the capabilities of the MP-155 gun. The price is low, amounting to 1300-2000 rubles. Gate
Reduction also succumbed to the striker and bolt, which contributed to the shortening of the rear of the bolt frame. From this comes a fairly logical conclusion that the striker from the predecessor will not work. With all these innovations, the stroke of the shutter remained at the same level, equal to 102-105 mm. The handle of the shutter itself was left interchangeable. It is worth noting that the engineers introduced longitudinal lobes, which bear, rather, a decorative function, rather than a practical one. On them you can see the stigma and the number of the gun.
Speaking about the appearance, the shutter of the MP-155 is not very different from its predecessor, but several elements have been redesigned. First of all, the eye falls on facilitating sampling, which does not greatly affect the survivability of the gun. The extractor also underwent some changes, becoming axisless.
Gas engine
Compared with the MP-153, it is possible to note a deeply modified unit where the gas discharge system from the barrel was moved to the piston. The solution is quite correct, because the total mass of metal in such a scenario works much better and optimally. In addition, it becomes much easier to clean the unit, as well as its adjustment or replacement. Some concerns can only cause significant reductions in the soldering area to the barrel of the gas chamber, which is likely to greatly affect the durability of the parts. In general, a very controversial decision.
As for the muzzle nozzles and magazine nuts, they remained the same, which makes the fore-end from the 153rd to the 155th as a native. The trigger mechanism (trigger) has become a little easier, and the shape and location have changed quite noticeably. At the same time, they did not begin to touch the kinematic scheme , leaving everything in its place. The trigger is 1.1 mm and 2 kg.
Special attention should be paid to the shop cutter, which will be an excellent apprentice even for those who have never used it before. The butt plate of the stock has also been updated somewhat, becoming thicker and flaunting a complex combination (plastic-rubber).
Practice
Inveterate hunters and gun lovers will experience the most vivid shooting experience. Of course, the shooting is not very different among the "classmates" of the 155th, but in comparison with its predecessor, fatigue is felt less. This is especially true for long races or vskidki MP-155. Tuning, a photo of which you can see in this article, slightly increases the weight through the nozzles, however, it will not become higher than 3.7 kg (charged version). Delays are extremely rare, and you will not find frequent misfires here. It will be quite simple for a beginner to get comfortable with this weapon, however, like with other semiautomatic devices, you will have to train a little “automatic” shooting. It so happens that the "green" hunters stop firing after 2-3 shots, although the target is still within their reach. Actually, training with the 155th is very simple: we put several plates or bottles on the field (preferably scatter), after which we shoot with the transfer of fire until the cartridges in the store run out. As for the advantages, most hunters liked the relatively small weight of the gun, as well as its high-quality assembly, which does not allow the 155th to break after the first sighting. Of course, there were some defects in the MP-155 gun. Owner reviews note a weak interceptor, which is very prone to bending around the axis. Sometimes there are misfires, as well as a mismatch of the alignment of the rings in the trunk. Finally, quite often there are cases of loss of the axis of the earring.
