In his place was discharged from Moscow a young politician who worked for a long time in the city duma of the capital. Andrei Evgenievich Klychkov is currently the interim governor, but he is aimed at participating in the election of the head of the region in 2018 and further victory in them. His path in politics is rather tortuous and unpredictable; he has already managed to try on the clothes of the oppositionist and after that to establish a common language with the authorities.
Native of Kaliningrad
The current acting regional governor of the Oryol region was born in Kaliningrad in 1979. In his youth, he was engaged in pentathlon, but did not become a professional athlete and chose the Kaliningrad Law Institute to continue his studies. After graduation, Andrei Klychkov worked for several years in the criminal investigation department of his hometown, but the young, ambitious lawyer was far beyond the provincial investigator's position.
In 2001, he joined the Communist Party, which started his political career. First, a young graduate of the law faculty was thrown into the rough work of processing citizens' applications at the public reception of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, where he earned a reputation as a hardworking, responsible worker.
Klychkov gained authority and gradually moved up the party ladder. From the position of a simple assistant to the legal adviser, he grew up to the deputy of the entire legal service of the Central Committee of the party. Having earned the trust of higher comrades, Andrei Evgenievich even represented the interests of the Communist Party in the Supreme Court. For a while, a native of Kaliningrad worked as an assistant to State Duma deputy Anatoly Lokot.
To Moscow
In 2006, the future governor of the Oryol region is gradually starting to get out of the shadow and will make his debut in the election race. As part of the regional group of the Communist Party, he participated in the election of deputies to the Kaliningrad Regional Duma, but did not succeed. Having suffered a defeat, Andrei Klychkov went to Moscow, where he began to act as senior referent for the party apparatus.
The proximity to the central leadership has borne fruit; an ambitious young politician is receiving new appointments and posts.
In 2007, he was delegated to represent the interests of the Communist Party in the CEC, and a year later he became the youngest member of the Central Committee of the party. Subsequently, he will constantly be re-elected to the Central Committee.
In parallel with a dizzying hardware career, Andrei Evgenievich Klychkov raises his educational level - in 2008, he graduated from the Academy under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of “international relations”.
Deputy
In 2009, Klychkov was successfully elected to the Moscow City Duma, and later headed the Communist Party faction in the capital’s parliament.
Two years later, he became a deputy of the State Duma of Russia, but refused his mandate in favor of another communist. This may seem illogical, but you can be sure that the young politician acted quite intelligently.
Indeed, in the federal parliament, he would have been accorded the role of an extras who dutifully performed the role assigned to him as a member of the systemic opposition to power. In the Moscow City Duma, however, Andrei Evgenievich was the leader of an influential faction, he was a member of all significant committees, directly influencing the life of a powerful city.
As a deputy, Klychkov took an active part in the opposition’s protests on Bolotnaya Square, which protested against the election results. Interestingly, the Communist Party chairman Zyuganov very disapproving of such manifestations of civic activism, calling them "orange infection."
Head of the region
In 2017, the subjects of the Russian Federation were covered by a wave of governor resignations. The governor of the Oryol region Vadim Potomsky did not escape this fate. They have been waiting for this for a long time, because under it, the region “successfully” consolidated its reputation as a depressed region, scandals about abuse of power constantly flashed.
The temporary governor of the Oryol region was appointed an employee from Moscow - Andrei Klychkov. The opinions of experts were divided on the prospects of the politician in this post. Many believed that Andrei Evgenievich traded the possibility of turning into a politician at the federal level for the post of head of a sleepy province, where he would bury his future.
However, Klychkov himself enthusiastically accepted the new challenge and moved to Oryol. While his actions in the new post are rather cautious, he himself emphasizes that he is only the acting governor’s acting and is not authorized for large-scale rearrangements.
The election of the new governor of the Oryol region will be held only in the fall of 2018, until this time Andrei Evgenievich will have to earn authority among the voters.
