Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS): address, phone, reviews. Members of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russian Federation

The Public Russian Academy of Natural Sciences was established in Moscow in August 1990. For the abbreviated name of the organization, the abbreviation RANS is adopted. Its address can be found in the article below. At present, the academy consists of 24 central sections, more than 100 thematic and regional branches, united in eight blocks of scientific centers.

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

Compared with the RAS, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is distinguished by easier promotion of scientific works (there is its own register of discoveries, which are confirmed by their own diplomas). Under the auspices of this institution, it is often necessary to work as scientists who have encountered problems in official science. RANS is also actively used to develop alternative areas that are not officially recognized by the international community. In particular, they include alternative medicine.

Charter

According to the Charter, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) is a creative scientific association of scholars of humanities and naturalists, designed to serve the development of science, culture and education.

The official image of the organization contains a portrait of V. Vernadsky, a well-known Russian and Soviet scientist. The Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russian Federation is not affiliated with the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Founders, composition

The founders of the Academy were the authors of fundamental scientific research. Among them:

  • A.M. Prokhorov, mathematician and physicist, laser creator, Nobel laureate;
  • IN AND. Goldansky, physicist and chemist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences;

And also in this list you can make a number of scientific associations and societies, institutes, ministries and departments. The academy has up to 4 thousand members. Among them, Nobel laureates (21 people), members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (124 people), members of the RAMS (30 people).

Credentials

In accordance with Russian law and in accordance with the Charter of the organization, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences takes part in the coordination of scientific and scientific-technical research. The state may, on a voluntary basis, involve scientists in conducting expert reviews and preparing draft decisions. In addition, on the basis of competitions, they are invited to participate in the development of scientific and scientific-technical projects and programs that are financed from the federal budget.

Story

The first president of the academy and its organizer (1990-1992) was a prominent Soviet scientist, geochemist and mineralologist D.A. Mineev. In 1997, an Armenian branch was organized. In 2002, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences received the authority of a non-governmental organization in consultative status with the UN ECOSOC. This status provided for access to UN documentation and participation in consultations and conferences of ECOSOC. But its receipt did not imply the inclusion of the academy in the UN system. The members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the organization itself did not acquire rights to any immunities or privileges. In 2003, the list of members of the academy was up to 4 thousand people. In the same year, in the building of Moscow University. M.V. Lomonosov passed the general meeting of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. In 2010, its participants were received by the Column Hall of the House of Unions.

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences includes the autonomous non-profit organization ā€œResearch Institute of Atherosclerosis of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciencesā€, which at one time was severely criticized in a letter to President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, signed by 540 scientists.

European Academy

EAEN (European Academy of Natural Sciences) is one of the projects of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. The public organization created in 2002 in Hanover (Germany) has about 35 branches, including in the Russian Federation.

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences of Pseudoscience

Each year, EAEN holds Euro-ECO and Euromedica conferences, in the words of their opponents, "positioned as scientific." These usually include a 2-day hearing of scientific reports and a 3-day tourist bus ride. In addition, the organization is engaged in publishing, it issues patents and diplomas. A significant part of the EAEN employees is mercilessly criticized by various authoritative scientific organizations, in particular the RAS. They are ranked among the representatives of non-academic areas. Most of them are members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

The president of the European Academy is Professor Tyminsky VG, Ph.D., candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences, one of the organizers and co-founders of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Vice President for Germany is Professor H. Khan, Director of the Institute of Immunology (Berlin). He also serves as president of the R. Koch Medical Society. The vice-president for the CIS is R. G. Melik-Oganjanyan, professor, deputy editor of the journal IANPO ā€œAlternative Medicineā€, president of the Armenian branch of the academy.

Criticism

The Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russian Federation (RANS) is subjected to merciless criticism from a number of academicians and members of the RAS. So, Yu.N. Efremov, Yu.S. Osipov, V.L. Ginzburg believes that among the members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences there are people with insufficient education, far from science and not having officially recognized works. For example, academician of the RAS E.P. Kruglyakov It is stated that the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russian Federation, ā€œin addition to truly respected and honored scientists,ā€ contains ā€œroguesā€.

Academician and President of the RAS Osipov Yu.S. noted that some time ago, the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences invited ā€œits membersā€, consisting of ā€œdubious academies,ā€ to withdraw from them. But this appeal was ignored by many.

V.L. Ginzburg, an academician and Nobel laureate, believed that the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences was "pseudoscience in its embodiment." A prominent scientist believed that those who "are not honored to be chosen at the RAS" go to this "voluntary organization".

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences phone

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is also criticized for cases of the sale of membership without conducting a due examination of the level of knowledge.

As a result of the ease with which titles are awarded in the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, a chain reaction of reproduction of the ā€œAcademiesā€ has arisen, scientists say. So, in 2005, the Academy of Fundamental Sciences of Organics was organized, most of the participants of which are academicians of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. The institution announced the creation of a ā€œnew fundamental scienceā€ - an organism, which establishes the basic principle of building world objects and revises such modern key concepts as ā€œmatterā€, ā€œenergyā€, ā€œmassā€. This science gives them a new meaning and gives them new opportunities.

In the scientific world, it is believed that the efforts of members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences discredit the title "academician".

Scandals

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Velikhov EP The offer to run for the RANS was rejected. He was given the condition that the academy should formally answer the question: does it consider it permissible to support scientists trying to extract energy from a vacuum? According to Academician E.P. Kruglyakov, the question was not honored with an answer.

In 2006, the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences A. Lagutkin was handed to Kadyrov R.A. (Deputy Prime Minister, and later President of the Chechen Republic) diploma of an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. To congratulate him on conferring the title of ā€œAcademician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences,ā€ the scientist personally arrived in Gudermes. In addition, the event was marked by the presentation of a memorable silver sign to Kadyrov. In an interview with ESQUIRE, Academician V.L. Ginzburg (now deceased) commented on this event, calling it "sad and funny."

Academician Kapitsa S.P. in a speech at Echo of Moscow, he also gave his comments, saying that he personally actively objected to the adoption of R. Kadyrov. in the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He also said that, as far as he knew, this decision was made under great pressure.

In 2006, the medal of the Academy "For outstanding scientific achievements in the field of noospheric technologies" was awarded to the notorious quack Levashov N.V.

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences: reviews

A number of authoritative sources emphasize that there are huge differences between the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences. They stipulate that with the similarity of the name, the difference between organizations only at first glance may seem insignificant to some. In fact, it is fundamental - this is the difference between public and scientific organizations.

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

On the Web, ā€œpseudoscientific,ā€ according to users, ideas of some RANS members are sharply ridiculed:

  • Creation of the first torsion unit on a commercial basis (A.A. Akimov, G.I. Shipov).
  • Creation of an ā€œoccultā€ theory of the wave genome (PP Garyaev). Its author, users who consider themselves involved in true science, is reproached for esoteric studies - he allegedly "eats up" on the field of healing.
  • Attempts to resurrect the dead (Grabovoi G.P.). The "scientist" is also known for having been convicted of fraud and sentenced to imprisonment (8 years).
  • Attempts to assert that the inhabitants of the North American continent 80 thousand years ago knew Russian spoken language and written language (Chudinov V.A.). The author of the idea managed to read Russian inscriptions on the Moon, on the ocean floor, on the Sun, on Mars, and even on the death mask of the great Pushkin. "Researcher", according to reviews, is actively traveling with tours to universities and academies.
  • Attempts to create a panacea for all kinds of oncological diseases (Kutushov M.V.).
  • Creation of informational and energetic teachings, allowing to carry out massive miraculous healings using portraits of the healer (Konovalov S.S.).
  • Creation of a pseudoscientific astrological system of a ā€œstructural horoscopeā€, the statement that astrology is a science (G. Kvasha).

There are allegations on the web that it is very easy to get the title of academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, therefore, among its members, according to the authors of the reviews, there are a large number of obscurantists who were not allowed into the RAS. In fairness, the authors of the reviews nevertheless clarify that ā€œdecent scientistsā€ are also members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. But mainly those who "do not hesitate to relate to any pseudoscientific party" enter the organization. RANS - ā€œthis is a diagnosisā€, some users say, and for a reputation in the scientific world, in their opinion, it’s better to ā€œgo to the wipers, wave a broom or collect bottlesā€ than to sign up for RANS academics.

According to the authors of the reviews, some honorary members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences do not even suspect that they are members of this organization. They were included in absentia for advertising. The bad thing is, some users believe that the majority of the population of the Russian Federation does not understand "all these academies." RANS is often perceived as a decent scientific organization. Or, in general, many confuse it with the RAS. Unfortunately, users write, this reduces the value of real science in the eyes of compatriots, and undermines the authority of its representatives. Some netizens believe that the very existence of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is scandalizing Russian society. Many are opposed to the fact that this organization was called an academy, and its members enjoyed the status of academicians, as this leads people astray.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

Their opponents object that creating privately, in addition to reputable state academies, also public ones is a world practice. Scientists have the right to do so. And if Russia is not used to it yet, this is not a reason to refuse the right to be considered as academicians to members of public academies of sciences. Many people emphasize that the RANS is not recognized as a pseudoscientific organization. The fact that the RAS was recognized as pseudoscientific by the work of some members of the scandalous academy is not a reason to consider the entire organization pseudoscientific. In the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the authors of the reviews note, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as other branch state academies are members. This must be taken into account.
