Not so long ago in Beijing, in all its glory, a new brainchild from Automobili Lamborghini - Lamborghini Urus appeared. At the car dealership, visitors could personally see the conceptually new model of the first ever Lamborghini SUV. Engineers had to cope with a difficult task, because they had to completely reconsider their long-standing approach to creating sports supercars. But the expectations were successful - the car combines a truly sporty style and a very elegant interior. Based on the first impressions, the car was completely ready for everyday trips both on busy highways and off-road. Wheel model Lamborghini Urus - permanent all-wheel drive. And the ability to control the ride height, a roomy 4-seater interior and a universal luggage compartment only fuel interest in the new product.
After all, this is exactly what all sports cars from the Italian auto concern were deprived of. The only exception was the SUV LM 002, conceptually similar to the Urus, but produced in the late 80s of the last century. However, the Urus presented at the Beijing Motor Show did not lose all the features characteristic of Lamborghini cars. The first thing that catches your eye is an impressive appearance. At the same time, the Lamborghini Urus does not look too massive: having a width of 2 meters, the car has the ideal proportions for a sports class. Another distinguishing feature - the height is only 1.66 meters, and 24-inch wheels and double-spoke wheels only emphasize the solidity of the car. Length - 4.99 meters. By the way, in Greek, “Urus” means “horror”, “confusion”, and the appearance of the car fully lives up to its name.
The SUV engine is also impressive. Under the hood is a powerful V-shaped engine with a volume of 6 dm³ for 600 hp, or a more “modest” V8 gasoline engine with two 400 hp turbines. According to the representative of Lamborghini, the top version of the model will accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds. Goes well with the engine fast-acting robotic gearbox with 2 clutches. The car body is made of lightweight materials, which provides the car with high aerodynamics. The Lamborghini Urus has the lowest CO2 emissions of all members of this class. Many of the elements of the car are made of carbon fiber. The body panel, spoilers, 4 individual seats and much more are made of this material.
The ergonomics of the interior of the supercar also deserve a solid five. For example, you can control the headlights and wipers both from the steering wheel and directly from the center console. To facilitate the management of other functions (climate control, entertainment, GPS navigation), a touch display is installed on the central panel of the car. Similar displays in the Lamborghini Urus are for rear row seats. The Italian concern plans to produce a little more than 3 thousand copies annually. It is expected that mass production will begin no earlier than the end of 2015, and at Lamborghini Urus the price will be about $ 200,000. The company has high hopes for the Russian market, and also hopes that motorists from North America and the UK will like Urus, the main markets for sports supercars.
