And this can only mean one thing: you have to make a garden toilet with your own hands. But you should not be upset ahead of time - everything is not so difficult.
Choose a place and dig a hole
In order to proceed with the construction of the object itself, first of all, it is necessary to decide whether it will be a major toilet in the garden area according to all the rules, which can last more than one year. If you decide to make a durable garden toilet with your own hands, then you must prepare an appropriate sized container. Most likely, it will be a large volume barrel. It can be either metal or plastic. Next, you will need to dig a hole under this tank. For example, if the toilet will have a barrel with a volume of 200 liters, then the pit will need to be made 1.5 meters deep. And immediately I want to say that when constructing a garden toilet with your own hands, it is best to dig with a shovel, gradually delving into the ground. The ground from the pit should not be scattered anywhere, but stacked in a specific place. She can still come in handy.
We move on to the construction of an important structure
Several holes need to be made in the barrel itself so that, if necessary, it is possible to pour some chemicals into it or to pump waste waste as needed. The space around the barrel needs to be filled. This is best done with a mixture of sand and gravel at about 2/3 of the height of the barrel. As you fall asleep, this mixture must be filled with water so that the free space is filled as densely as possible. The remaining distance can either be covered with soil previously removed from the pit itself, or simply concreted. In order for the garden toilet, made according to all the rules, to stand firmly on the ground, you will need to dig deep but narrow holes and drive wooden holes into them pillars or, as they are also called, piles. There should be exactly four such pits. In the main pit, under the prepared barrel, it will be necessary to make a drainage. The drainage should not be too thick, up to 25 cm. Sand and gravel can be used as drainage.
Finishing stage of construction
Above the barrel you need to install the "skeleton" of the future house, or, as it is also called, the frame. If you can’t imagine all the construction in detail, it will help you create a garden toilet drawing, which is easy to do on your own on a regular sheet. The frame needs to be attached to piles recessed into the ground. On the barrel itself, it is necessary to put a platform fastened on the frame with a small hole directly above it. The toilet frame can be sheathed with planed boards, the roof can also be made wooden and sheathed with it. It remains only to hang the door on a specially made opening for this.
