Once, while walking along the street, I noticed a girl of about five. With huge bows, in an elegant dress, she walked, holding on to her mother’s strong arm, and milk cake crumbled on both cheeks. I just couldn’t understand what was so hooked on this pretty girl, and then I realized: here it is, the image of my childhood. And I really wanted to become small and, just like her, chew milk cake with an appetite.
Of course, the first part of the desire was impossible, but the second is quite realistic to realize. Arriving home, I, inspired by childhood memories, decided to cook milk cake. Its recipe, as it turned out, is very simple. And since the pastries turned out to be incredibly tasty, I suggest that you also try to cook the goodies that impressed me.
So, milk cake. The recipe for this sweetness requires the following ingredients:
- butter (120 g),
- flour (350 g),
- vegetable oil (tablespoon),
- sugar (120 g)
- milk (240 g),
- baking powder (one bag),
- eggs (1 pc.).
Prepared components. They imagined how we would gobble up for both cheeks the milk cake made by our own hand. The recipe is in your hands and we start cooking.
Pour milk into a saucepan and put on a very low heat. Add vegetable oil to the pan, add sugar and put butter in it. Stir the contents of the pan so that the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
Mix flour and baking powder, add a pinch of salt. Turn off the heat under the pan and quickly, so that the mixture does not have time to cool, and pour the flour into the pan, mix thoroughly. So the dough is prepared, in the end it should turn out elastic, liquid and viscous.
Put the dough on a plate previously sprinkled with flour and cover with a napkin. Leave it on for a while until it cools down (reference point is room temperature). Knead the dough and roll it on a table sprinkled with flour into a layer about six millimeters thick.
Using the form (mugs, glasses, etc.) cut out the crusts. Put parchment paper on a baking sheet , and on it - crusts, grease them with an egg (this is convenient to do with a brush).
We put a baking tray with crusts in a heated oven (temperature - 180 degrees). After half an hour, the cake can be removed from the oven. Wait a bit until the pastries have cooled, and you can enjoy the cooked yummy.
Would you like to make milk cake? The recipe for its preparation can be mastered even by the most inexperienced "culinary specialist". Enjoy delicious crusts and plunge into pleasant memories.
By the way, there is a rather tasty alternative variant of such a dish - curd shortcakes. The recipe for cottage cheese shortcakes is simple, so if you love cottage cheese, I advise you to try it.
Ingredients: cottage cheese (half a kilogram), eggs (3 pcs.), Soda (1 tsp), kefir (glass), margarine (pack), sugar (3 cups) and flour (you need as much as the dough requires).
Mix sifted flour with soda, grind softened margarine with sugar (2.5 cups) and eggs. You should get a homogeneous mixture. In the resulting mixture add kefir, cottage cheese and, having well mixed the specified components, flour. Cook the dough. It also needs to be covered with a napkin and left for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the remaining sugar (0.5 cups) into a table and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.5 cm. Cut the crusts and put them on a baking sheet so that the “sugar” side is at the top. Bake over medium heat for about 25 minutes.
Curd cakes, without cutting into small cookies, can be used to make various cakes. They are prepared either according to the same recipe as the crusts, or slightly change the list of ingredients.
In any case, if you cook milk cake, cottage cheese cake or a cake from the cakes obtained, it will surely turn out to be incredibly tasty. You will be pleased and delight loved ones who are lucky enough to try the results of your efforts. After all, what is cooked with love, and even with their own hands, simply cannot but like.
