A college was formed under the name Ivanovo College of Communications in 1930, and 10 years later it was renamed the Ivanovo Electrotechnical College. After 1956, the college became expanded in specialties and gained a name - Ivanovo Engineering College. Since 2001, after joining the Ivanovo State Energy University, the official name is IHEU Engineering College.

Engineering College in Ivanovo is located on Professionalnaya Street at No. 45. Recruitment is being conducted in the summer (June 15-15, 08) after the end of grade 9 for full-time education for a period of three years and ten months.
There are five specialties with a budget of 15-20 places in each, according to the qualifications "technician" and "technician-mechanic".
