The Pedagogical Institute in Naberezhnye Chelny is one of the largest educational centers of the city. The modern methodological base and high scientific and pedagogical potential make it possible to occupy a leading position among all universities of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
University History
The Pedagogical Institute in Naberezhnye Chelny was opened on May 28, 1990 as a branch of the Elabuga State Pedagogical Institute. Training was carried out by 3 faculties: graphic arts, pedagogy and the faculty of preschool education. Later, new faculties opened - foreign languages, mathematics, geography and philology. So, by 2000, seven institutes were functioning at the institute.
Since the opening of the university, another educational building has been built, graduate school and new specialties have been opened. By 2005, training was underway in 11 areas, and the number of students exceeded 4300 people.
In 2011, the university was renamed the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Social and Pedagogical Technologies and Resources. He received university status four years later, in 2015.
University today
Currently, the Pedagogical Institute in Naberezhnye Chelny is one of the most popular universities in the entire Volga-Kama region. It is located at: Republic of Tatarstan, the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizametdinova Street, 28.
A rich educational and material base contributes to the provision of educational services of a high level. The training is carried out in two educational buildings, each of which has a library, a dining room and an assembly hall. All classrooms, computer labs and laboratories are equipped with modern equipment. Also on the territory of the institute there is a large sports complex with three halls, where classes are held daily in sections. For students from other cities, places in the hostel are provided.
The Pedagogical Institute of Naberezhnye Chelny conducts active sports and health-improving work and promotes a healthy lifestyle, conducts active research and concludes agreements with federal universities and research institutes.
Today, the university employs more than 260 teachers, half of whom are candidates of science and doctors.

In total, there are 7 faculties in the university: physical culture and sports, pedagogy and psychology, arts and design, mathematics, historical-geographical and philological. Separately, it is worth highlighting the faculty of preschool education, which was transformed into the Pedagogical College.
Also, within the walls of the university, training is carried out as part of additional professional education.
