It is then that the question arises of how to remove tinting as quickly as possible and without glue stains on the side and windshield.
The way to remove the tint film from the glass surface is quite simple, but very time-consuming. Before you remove the tint, you will need to uniformly warm the entire glass surface to a temperature of approximately 40 degrees. This is done in order to soften the adhesive base. To heat the glass, you can use a regular household hair dryer. Care must be taken to ensure that the glass does not overheat and break. When the surface temperature reaches the desired value, you should carefully pick up the edge of the film with a sharp knife and pull it towards you. If this is a side window, then before you remove the tint, you should lower it to half. This greatly facilitates the process of tearing off the upper corner of the film from the glass.
There are two ways to separate tinting:
1. The quick way. The film is torn off by a sharp downward movement. The positive side of this method is the expenditure of a small amount of time, the negative - the film may break, and then the whole process will have to be repeated again.
2. The slow way. Its essence is to carefully remove the film from the glass. In this case, it is necessary with one hand to slowly pull it toward you, and with the other hand to clean the glue from the vacated area. The advantage of this method is the accuracy and accuracy of the work, minus the loss of a lot of time.
It is worth noting that in both cases there will remain stains on the glass from the adhesive base, which will have to be washed additionally. Removing the
tint with your own hands is also difficult because this glue is extremely difficult to remove. Of course, you can scrape off the stains with a knife, but then there is a high probability that the glass will be damaged and scratches will remain on it.
Therefore, before you remove the tint, make sure that you have at hand all the necessary cleaning agents.
It is noticed that the usual 96% alcohol, which can be purchased at any nearby pharmacy, copes best with this problem. Mr. Muscle on liquid ammonia proved to be quite good. In addition, any glass cleaning liquid sold in car dealerships is suitable. After removing all stains, it is necessary to thoroughly wash the windows with an ordinary dishwashing detergent - this will permanently remove particles of glue and grease.
