But even this does not affect the overclocking of the Nvidia 1050 Ti graphics card. The main obstacle was power limitation. The average value does not rise above 1.6 GHz. Sometimes jumps up to 1734 MHz are observed.
Despite the fact that the new manufacturing process gave hope for overclocking, it was the power and frequency limitation that did not allow experimenting with the model. The memory could not be increased by more than 8 GHz. The processor did not show more than 1911 MHz. The latter value is quite flexible and has a wide range, but at the same time, the maximum remains the same anyway, and stability may fall.
As a result, the confident indicator of the frequency was 1471 MHz, and the memory did not “jump” above 8008 MHz. The power limit cannot be increased, which means that the increase in frequencies is only 100 MHz.
Most likely, this situation is caused by the fact that the accelerator depends on the power, the capabilities of which are limited by the PCI-E port. If so, then most modifications will not be able to show good overclocking potential. Option one is to look for models with external power.
Potential ASUS ROG Strix

Additional overclocking gave a result in which the base frequencies were able to be raised to 1480 MHz. Peak Boost gave a result of 1946 MHz. There is a large increase margin up to the power limit. In simple modifications, this limit is blocked, and in this model it can be increased up to 57%.
As a result, it turned out that this model bypasses all modifications thanks to the real Boost up to 1924 MHz and video memory up to 8.2 GHz.
MSI Potential
Another gaming modification that needed a review. Overclocking the MSI GTX 1050 Ti is worthy of attention, since it showed good results. The model belongs to the Gaming X line. Apparently, therefore, it received a similar appearance. It looks attractive, powerful, reliable. Textolite is covered with a massive plastic casing with two large fans.
The cooling system is proprietary Twin Frozr VI, so even with overclocking it will not need an additional assistant. The special structure of the radiator helps guide and properly distribute the air flow.
This option also received increased frequencies from the factory. 1290 turned into 1354 MHz. The memory is still 7 GHz. As in the previous model, there are special profiles that control the speed and power of the accelerator.
There is also an increased power limit indicator. This means that even the strongest loads do not allow energy consumption to rise to the maximum. Since overclocking of this model takes place thanks to a proprietary utility, software support opens up wide possibilities for this process.
The chip frequency limit is about 1.9 GHz. Real Boost operates in the range of 1898-1911 MHz. The memory turned out to be more flexible than the processor. Its frequency could be raised to 8088 MHz. At the same time, the device worked stably, without failures.
Gigabyte Potential
Overclocking the Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti is very close in results with the previous modification. The accelerator is equipped with two fans. The casing is massive, made in the corporate style, using black and orange.
The reverse side of the PCB was covered with a metal plate. Side logos are backlit. The interface panel received as many as five connectors: one Display Port, three HDMI and one DVI.
The WindForce 2X cooling system, as always, stands out for its unusual three-section radiator design. The fans are made with a special blade structure, which increases the power of the air flow by 23% compared to conventional options.

Manual overclocking increased the frequency to 1.9 GHz. The accelerator allows you to increase the operating voltage at the core. But this directly affects stability. The memory managed to be increased up to 8148 MHz, which turned out to be the best indicator among the reviewed versions.
