VAZ is perhaps the most popular car manufacturer in Russia. Cars of this brand can be found on almost every street. The Lada Priora sedan was no exception. Body problems

Owners make chip tuning, install a stinger, a new spider and a once-through muffler. “Prior” (sedan) after these improvements becomes a little more powerful. But with proper tuning, this figure does not exceed ten percent. Therefore, only avid fans can engage in the refinement of the VAZ engine.
Consumption
According to reviews, the Priora (sedan) is a very economical car. For 100 kilometers, the car consumes from seven to seven and a half liters of the 95th in mixed mode.

And in order to reduce the cost of production at the plant, they decided to replace the 98-horsepower engine with an old 8-valve engine developing 87 horsepower. Motor problems
In general, all three engines are very reliable and do not cause serious problems. But operating experience shows that motors can lose power and work erratically. The reason for this is different sensors:
- Throttle position.
- Idle move.
- The position of the crankshaft (here the engine may not start at all).
- Lambda probe.
The latter is worth telling separately. This is an oxygen sensor that measures the O 2 residue in the exhaust gas and, depending on the concentration, gives the ECU instructions on how to prepare the fuel mixture. If the lambda probe fails, the electronic unit will form the wrong mixture. Because of this, a loss of power appears, the motor starts to troit, jerks occur during movement.
In severe frosts, the Priory engines can squeeze out the camshaft plugs, which is why the motor starts to “sweat”. There are also complaints about the cooling system. Yes, "Priora" does not boil and does not break, like a "nine." But still there are echoes of the past. And they relate to the thermostat. He begins to wedge, because of which the motor is bad or does not warm up at all. Owners say that installing a thermostat from Grants is an effective solution. He gets up on the Priors engine with minimal alterations.
Transmission
A five-speed manual is used as a gearbox on both engines. As practice shows, this transmission is not very reliable. Its main drawback is synchronizers. When they wear, the gears begin to engage with a characteristic crunch. Also during operation, the clutch release bearing begins to junk. It is better to change it with the clutch disc. Usually this breakdown overtakes the owners on a run of 60 thousand kilometers.
Another problem is the characteristic noise of the box, which appears after 30 thousand kilometers. This malfunction is present not only on Prior, but also on Kalina, as well as the top ten.
Chassis
The suspension on the Priore is very simple. Here a lot of details passed from the "top ten." Front - MacPherson, rear - beam. The rear suspension is simple, and there are no problems with it.
