Yorsh is a punk rock band from Russia. The group was created in 2003 by three friends in a small town near Moscow. However, the first album was released in 2006. Many fans believe that it was then that the band started.
Yorsh: The History of the Foundation
The group was founded after the collapse of the school musical group, which included Dmitry Sokolov and Mikhail Kandrakhin. At the beginning of the journey the guys didn’t even have their own tools, so instead of the summer holidays they worked as loaders to get money for their purchase. I had to rehearse at the cottage, only after some time the Yorsh group was able to move to the House of Culture. The next three years, the composition tried itself in various styles, and also replaced a number of participants and names. The result was the current name and repertoire in the style of English rock bands of the seventies.
In 2006, the guys started creating their first album. At the same moment Denis Oleynik joined the group , who took the place of the vocalist. At the time of recording the album, due to disagreements, Oleynik left the band. The appendix was made using Sokolov.
The Yorsh group was able to complete the album the same year and soon released it. The disc was so successful that it immediately brought fame and popularity to the guys, and especially in rock circles. Some songs have become very popular and are considered hits by the band.
Second album
The second record was released in 2008. “Louder ?!” became even more popular than the first album. In addition to the ordinary, social themes appeared in the texts. The group’s audience has expanded significantly. The band began to act as the opening act for many Russian punk bands. During the year, the guys managed to hold about fifty concerts. In addition, the Yorsh group began to travel with performances outside the Moscow region. At the same time, an amateur video for the song "In a Circle" appeared on the Web, which gained more than a million views.
In 2009, the team left Kandrakhin, and his place was taken by Stolin Denis.
In the same year, the Yorsh group began to participate in many festivals and projects in which they managed to occupy high places. They acted as the opening act for the group "King and the Jester".
During a concert in the city of Kaliningrad, the children were attacked. At the end of the performance, an explosive package was thrown into the crowd, which, by a coincidence, fell under the stairs. As a result, only two people were injured. The local right-wing radical group claimed responsibility for the attempt.
Disintegration and reunion
In early 2010, Dmitry Sokolov announced that he was leaving the Yorsh. A photo of the group with information about the breakup instantly spread between fans who were very surprised by this news. Surprise was a departure for the musicians of the group. The reason for the breakup Dmitry called a lack of time and ideas for new albums.
Despite the collapse, the musicians soon began to gather and conduct rehearsals, and in 2011 a new disc, Good and Evil, saw the light of the day. The album replenished the group’s repertoire with many new hits, with which she soon began to tour cities.
Group now
The ensuing years, the group actively conducts performances, but the musicians noted that their concerts became less in demand. The reason they called the decline of punk movement, as well as the crisis. The former success came to the group only in 2013.
In October of the same year, the team released a new album - "Lessons of Hate." Some songs were able to firmly gain a foothold in Russian radio stations. The group presented a new disc in many cities, as well as on Our Radio.
In May 2014, Yorsh, with the help of fans, raised funds, shot and released a video for the song "Over 50". In the summer of the same year, the team took part in many rock festivals, and also announced tours in many cities of Russia and Belarus. In addition, the musicians said they were going to release a new album. Soon a new member joined the group, and metal elements began to appear in the works.
In 2014, about sixty concerts of the Yorsh musicians took place. The composition of the group, in addition to performances, held creative meetings and participated in radio broadcasts.
In 2015, the band released the album “The Bones of the World”, which was well received by fans not only of the group, but of all punk rock. New songs immediately entered many music tops. The group decided to conduct a big tour of Russian and Belarusian cities. In autumn, the team left Stolin Denis.
