In spring, daffodils are among the first to delight us with their flowering. Despite the fact that this plant is extremely unpretentious, it has a rather unusual shape. The leaves are thin, straight, pointed, and the flower itself has a yellow tubule-core and a cap of white or yellow petals. Do you know how to draw daffodils? In fact, this is pretty easy to do.
How to draw daffodils in stages?
- We sketch with a thin pencil, without pressure. Let's start with the oval for the core and the cup on which it holds. Draw a thin line of the stalk.
- Now we draw the terry edges at the oval and do not forget about the small arc in the middle, which will add volume to it.
- We give a more natural, slightly irregular shape to the elongated part of the core, draw the petals. They all differ in size and slope.
- Now add the small details: stamens, petals along the edges of the core; outline the stem.
- Carefully remove the sketch lines and colorize the finished picture.
How to draw daffodils with children?
You will need only one ordinary pencil and four colored ones to get such a picture.
Operating procedure:
- Draw two long curved lines that close at one end. Add a streak in the middle. We do not connect the lines below.
- Our second leaf naturally bent to the ground, so for him we first draw a L-shaped vein, below it and at the same time make another letter G, but more. From the beginning of the bend of the first line we make a small arc, closing the contour.
- The third sheet is simpler, it is even and straight. Do not overlap the finished parts of the picture. Add a streak from the bottom to the second sheet.
- We draw a long thin stalk with a thickening on top.
- We pass to the petals. In nature, they can have a slightly different shape and volume, so it is not necessary to try to make them identical. Make 5 petals, do not close the circle.
- In the remaining free space, draw an oval with wavy edges. This will be the middle of the flower. Add an arc inside the form so that it is voluminous.
- Draw the core in the form of a half oval, depict the earth - and you can paint the picture.
More difficult lessons
Realistic pencil-drawn daffodils are a project for more experienced painting enthusiasts as it will require you to work well with shadow.
Let's try to figure out how to do this:
- We draw a sketch of simple geometric shapes, determine the angle of inclination of the flower relative to the stem. First we draw a small oval, then a trapezoid with a rounded bottom and a large oval for the petals.
- Now use the rhomboid shapes to sketch the petals. Then draw pointed leaves.
- And now we are working on the details. We soften the sharpness of the petals, add a wavy edge and stamen to the core, remove excess lines. Leaves need only be slightly rounded.
- Finally, remove the excess, give some petals slightly bent tips.
- Imagine that the light falls on the right, and shade the drawing with a hard-soft pencil.
Arrangement of several flowers
We have already figured out how to portray a separate daffodil. But most often it grows in a bunch: the onion lets the kids go, and over time it turns out a small armful of flowers. How to draw daffodils that are nearby? Of course, you can compose a composition based on previous lessons, but here is the material that will facilitate the task:
- We make a sketch of simple forms, determine how the flowers and leaves are located relative to each other.
- Outline the petals.
- Draw the core. Make a double edge at the petals to give them volume.
- We remove the excess, carefully draw the leaves so that they do not go on the flowers, add veins and stamens.
- Shade the picture. Unlike the previous lesson, here it is done using separate thin lines.
Now you know how to draw daffodils, from the simplest to the more complex ones. We wish you a pleasant creation.
