General biographical information
Andrei was born on February 6, 1973 in a prosperous family. Parents not only paid enough time and attention to raising their son, but also sought to develop his talents and from a very early age considered the boy gifted. Andrei Knyazev always painted well, often he came up with some unusual fantastic stories. His parents believed that their son would surely once become a famous artist. However, fate decreed otherwise. After graduating from the 8th grade of a comprehensive school, Andrei enters the restoration school and meets Mikhail Gorshenev there.

Andrei Knyazev, also known as the Prince, gained all-Russian fame thanks to his work in the cult musical group King and the Jester. Mikhail Gorshenev tried to assemble his musical group and play something informal even before that fateful meeting with a talented classmate. But this dream was fully realized precisely in collaboration with the Prince. It's simple - Pot (Gorshenev) wrote music, and Andrei wrote poetry. The combination of aggressive punk rock and original scary "fairy tales-legends" in the texts is the corporate identity of the team. The year of foundation of the King and the Jester group is 1988. Throughout history, musicians have changed, scandals and short-term disagreements between the two leaders have occurred, but, despite all these trifles, the Prince and Pot continued to delight fans with new albums and concerts.
New group of Andrey Knyazev
From the very beginning of the joint work between the Prince and the Pot there were some disagreements. Andrei considers himself a romantic, and always tended to create more lyrical texts with quite melodic musical accompaniment. While Mikhail, on the contrary, loved aggressive and hard melodies and corresponding texts. Even while working in the King and the Jester group, Andrey Knyazev manages to record solo compositions and even publishes his own album. However, it is not distracted from the main project. But in 2011, the Prince officially announces his departure from the “King and the Jester” and creates a new project called “Prince” with the original spelling - in the end, the double English letter Z instead of the correct “s”. This collective exists today, new compositions and albums are recorded, concerts are regularly held.
The legendary "King and the Jester" existed for some time without Andrei, the group finally ceased to exist in 2014 due to the death of its leader - Mikhail Gorshenev. What is noteworthy, the Prince, who came to music as a poet and lyricist, quickly learned to play the guitar and sing. Today, he not only writes poetry for his songs, but also music, and is also the leader and vocalist of his group.

Despite the vivid scenic image of punk and anarchist, Andrei Knyazev, whose songs the whole country knows by heart, is a calm, modest and somewhat reserved person in life. He is used to his popularity, but still does not like to be recognized on the street and begin to pester him with questions. However, the Prince treats fans favorably, never refuses requests for an autograph.
Today, Andrei is married for the second time, his wife - Agatha Nigrovskaya. The couple grows up a joint daughter Alice, born October 12, 2010. Knyazev also has another child from his first marriage with Alena Isaeva, also a girl - Diana (born December 12, 2005). Close people characterize the Prince as a gentle, kind, fair, and very responsive person.
