Coating the nail plate with gel polish is by far one of the most popular procedures. Compared to regular nail polish, it does not require long-term drying - in just 1-3 minutes in a UV or LED lamp, your nails will sparkle with bright colors. It can be applied both to an artificial nail and to a natural one, the result will not be affected.
What is gel polish?
This product appeared in the nail industry relatively recently, just a few years ago, and immediately won the recognition of fashionistas around the world. Among the huge assortment of ordinary varnish coatings, it was always very difficult to dwell on something special, but here - the so-called โhybridโ of gel and varnish, which has high strength. The main advantages of this coating are that it is easy to apply. The material has unique properties, due to which the color intensity and gloss, the integrity of the coating is preserved throughout the entire wear period (about 2-3 weeks), and the nails under it do not โgrow cloudyโ.
How to apply gel polish on the nail plate correctly?
The color intensity, as a rule, depends on how much material is applied to the nail. If it is one layer, then you can enjoy a translucent light shade, and with a two-layer coating you will get a dense saturated color. The choice is yours. You only need to remember that before using gel polish, you must first prepare your nails, as in the case of conventional modeling.
After lightly processing the nail plate with a file (with a medium-sized abrasive), you can proceed to applying a thin layer of bonder gel. Remember that it should not be much, as inexperienced masters like to do. After all, after you apply the bonder gel on the nail, its surface should remain matte. If there is a gloss, then you need to remove excess coating. Everything is simple - it remains for 30 seconds to dry it in the lamp.
Now gel polish is applied in the first layer. Remember that you should deviate from the edge of the cuticle by about 0.5-1 mm. Excess gel that fell into this prohibited area must be removed with a pusher or the well-known orange stick. Dry the first layer for about three minutes in the lamp. If the color obtained was not enough, then another layer of gel polish can be applied next and also dried in a lamp until completely dry.
As a rule, you need to start work with your right hand, while coating the little finger. After that, the finger with gel polish should be placed in an
ultraviolet lamp for five seconds. At this time, you need to apply the material on the left little finger. Continuing to alternate, you need to coat all of your fingernails. This procedure is simple but time consuming.
Why do you need to alternate? This question interests many women, but the answer is elementary. By observing the alternation, you can prevent the gel polish from getting on the skin near the nail and cuticle. Such a technique should be used by those masters who are just starting to work with this coating and trying to understand the essence of the procedure.
