Not every artist manages to catch his creativity at first sight. To create metaphor paintings that amaze, delight, and make you think is a real art. The talented creator Vladimir Kush is quite successful. I want to consider his works endlessly, although it is almost impossible to solve them to the end.
The path to fame
Vladimir Kush was born in the capital of Russia in 1965. At the age of seven, he disappeared into an art school until the evening, where he studied with interest the works of famous Renaissance artists, great impressionists and modern masters.
At 17, the future artist entered the S.G. Stroganov Academy, but a year later he had to leave school and join the army. In the service, the young man continued to create and painted propaganda posters. Upon returning home, Vladimir Kush continued to study the craft of art, and in his free time he painted portraits in Arbat to pay to help his family in difficult times.
In 1987, young talent became a regular participant in exhibitions organized by the Union of Artists. At a screening of paintings in the German city of Coburg, held in 1990, almost all of Vladimir's works exhibited were sold out. The artist decided not to lose luck and went to Los Angeles.
Life abroad
In America, Vladimir Kush had a hard time. At first, he rented a small garage for work, but could not find a place for the exhibition of paintings. Vladimir made a living by drawing portraits on the street and after a while he was able to get a ticket to Hawaii, where he dreamed of getting his whole life.
In 1993, an entrepreneur from France appreciated the distinctiveness of Kush's works and organized an exhibition in Hong Kong. The event was a resounding success. He held another show of paintings in 1995, which also made a splash. However, two years later, Hong Kong became a region of China, and large European collectors who bought the author’s paintings left.
The artist Vladimir Kush decided to return to America, and this time luck smiled at him. In 2001, he opened his first exhibit in Hawaii. Currently, Vladimir has four personal galleries, and he is not going to stop there. The artist plans to open even more exhibitions around the world.
Master paintings
Vladimir himself gave the name to the style of his works - “metaphorical realism”. He uses unusual images to embody hard-to-understand concepts, such as “love” or “creativity”. But at the same time he, unlike most surrealists, doesn’t
says objects beyond recognition and uses mostly light colors.
