Neither cold, nor wind, nor harsh conditions interfere with the large-scale construction of the Yamal-LNG project. On May 15, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak flew to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug to inspect the progress of the construction of the project, the key work on which is being carried out VELESSSTROY .
The inspection was carried out jointly with the Chairman of the Board of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson and the General Director of Yamal LNG Evgeny Kot. The delegates were accompanied by the leaders of the VELESSTROY company: the first vice-president Kreshimir Filipovich and the general director Zlatko Penich. During a visit to the peninsula, the Minister inspected the main facilities - the LNG plant and tanks. Following the tour, Alexander Novak noted the good pace of construction.
Since 2013, Velesstroy LLC, as a contractor, has been carrying out a range of works on the Yamal-LNG project. VINCI is underway industrial engineering unique structures - four cryogenic tanks for storing liquefied natural gas with a volume of 160,000 cubic meters each. For the customer, South Tambey LNG is implementing a project for the construction of an LNG plant, construction workshops, office buildings, an industrial base and entrance facilities. The company is also engaged in the construction of residential towns on the peninsula for the Yamal LNG customer.
The location of the field opens up a convenient way for the Russian Federation to supply gas to the countries of the Asian Pacific region and the European Union. The success of the project is guaranteed: contracts with China, India and Spain have already been signed for 25 years for the supply of gas.
Customers trust VELESSTROY largest oil and gas facilities
It was no coincidence that the company was selected as a contractor for Yamal LNG. Key indicators of the company's economic sustainability are growing. Recently, RAEX Rating Agency (Expert RA) revised the VELESSTROY rating and assigned the company ruBBB level (which corresponds to A (I) rating according to the previously used methodology). This is the highest credit rating on the Russian Standard & Poor's scale.
Agency analysts note the company's strong market and competitive positions: VELESSSTROY is one of the leaders in the oil and gas, industrial construction market, has significant experience in implementing relevant projects, and its customers are the largest oil and gas and electric grid companies of the Russian Federation.
On May 18, the management of the French construction company VINCI sent a letter of recommendation on the activities of VELESSTROY, in which it noted the responsible attitude to the business, the high quality of work and meeting the construction deadlines.
In the future, the Yamal LNG plant will become Russia's largest center for liquefying natural gas. VELESSTROY will commission a huge production complex with three production lines for gas liquefaction with a capacity of 5.5 million tons per year each.
