Installation and configuration of this emulator can be accompanied by a number of nuances. What should I look for when working with MGCamd primarily?

Among the emulators that are best adapted for viewing encoded broadcasts through card sharing is MGCamd 1.35. Setting this solution up properly allows you to start the corresponding channels when using the keys that are registered in the structure of the SoftCam.Key file.

Emulator installation

We will examine how the emulator is installed on common receivers of the GI 8120 type. Before proceeding with the solution of the corresponding task, it is necessary to make sure that the receiver has the Deactivation option compatible with Conax encoding. Thus, it is necessary to enter the device management interface, select the "System" item, after - "Basic settings", and then - "Conditional access". After this, you need to make sure that the “Off” mark is opposite the Conax item. If this is not the case, put it on.

The next task is to install the emulator in question, as well as its configuration files on the receiver. To do this, find the Plugin folder in the corresponding MGCamd archive. It is necessary to unzip it to the root area of ​​the flash drive - it must be formatted in the FAT32 system (this can be done through Windows). This flash drive is to be inserted into the USB port of the receiver of the type in question. It is important that the device is turned off at this point. After it turns on and loads, the program interface prompts the user to install the plugin. It is necessary to confirm the consent to install the corresponding component using the control panel. After that, the installation of the emulator will begin. Upon completion of this process, the receiver will reboot.

After switching on, the device may again request the installation of the plugin, but this time it is necessary to abandon this procedure and wait for the device to load further. After that, on the remote control, you need to select the option designed to safely remove the flash drive, and then disconnect the USB device.

How is MGCamd configured? The solution to this problem is carried out in several stages.

First of all, you need to use the FTP client to enter the receiver settings. To do this, you will need to enter a username and password - in both cases, this is root. You need to check the mg_cfg file and make sure that it contains the following parameters:

- G: {01};

- B: {01}.

If the values ​​are different, then subsequently difficulties may arise with viewing channels through card sharing in a number of modes.

The next task is to configure card sharing through the MGCamd emulator. To do this, you need to connect the receiver to the Internet. You will also need the correct options from the card sharing server in order to activate the necessary packages.

The main protocol by which MGCamd is configured at the current stage is Newcamd. To use it, you need to make changes to the parameters that are contained in the newcamd.list file located in the receiver's file system. As an editor, it is advisable to use a program adapted to work with Linux-files. Among them - UltraEdit, and you can use it.

Let us consider in more detail the structure of the newcamd.list file. It contains several lines. Some of them will be used by us in the course of solving such a problem as MGCamd setup.

String CWS_KEEPALIVE

Among those is the string CWS_KEEPALIVE. It fixes the time after which the emulator checks the connection to the card sharing server in accordance with the port settings. The corresponding option can be used when it comes to using a NAT router that deactivates idle connections. Another possible way to use it is to start encoded channels immediately after switching from open broadcasts.

The CWS line, in turn, is extremely important to us when working with MGCamd. Setting up a sharing requires making the necessary adjustments. Here, the parameters for the card sharing server are fixed, which are needed to run certain packages. So, instead of the phrase IP Server, you should fix the domain name of the card sharing server, and even better - its IP address. Instead of Server Port, enter the port for a specific channel package. The login and password options are changed accordingly - by entering the username and password there. After that, you must specify the DES key. It will look like a number series from 01 to 14 (spaces are between the numbers).

Next to the above lines in the file in question is another - CWS_INCOMING_PORT. It captures the port used to listen for incoming packets. In practice, these settings are practically not required to be adjusted, so you can ignore them.

Work with other files

Setting up MGCamd also involves working with some additional files. Among those:

- priority.list;

- ignore.list;

- replace.list.

They are also located in the file system of the receiver. Their purpose is to speed up the process of launching encoded channels in the event that they have a large number of identities. But if a local card sharing surfer is used, then the corresponding files, as a rule, include the correct parameters, which do not need to be changed. You need to edit them only if you plan to use other cardsharing servers, or in case of changes in the options of the current one.

Configuring priority.list file

If we are talking about the priority.list file, it is used to fix the identifiers through which channels should be launched.

They can be designated in the form of two-digit numbers. The identities in the lines are fixed using letters and braces. For example, V denotes the encoding that is used when broadcasting channels, namely Viaccess. The identifiers, as a rule, record the desired resolution of the picture - for example, SD or HD.

The inclusion of encodings in files should be carried out according to certain rules. Let's look at some examples of specifying their required values ​​in the priority.list file.

So, for example, if we are talking about encoding like DRE-Crypt, then in the file you need to register the line X: {4a e1}. The letter X means that the marked encoding is involved. The value 4a e1 is the CAID.

Another common encoding is Irdeto. If it is involved, then the file must contain the line I: {00 01}. Similarly, the letter I is the marked encoding, the numbers 00 01 are the CHID.

If Seca encoding is used, then the line S: {00 84} must be written in the file. In this case, the letter S is the designation of the specified encoding, and 00 84 is the identifier.

If NDS encoding is used, then in the file you need to write the line X: {09 0F}, where X is the designation of the NDS encoding, and the value 09 0F is the CAID.

When using Nagravision encoding in the file, write the line X: {18 10}, in which X is also the encoding, 1810 is the CAID.

Configuring ignore.list and replase.list files

The next file, ignore.list, includes identities that should not be used when starting channels.

The third file among the specified ones - replace.list, is used if it is necessary to replace incorrect identifiers with those that are functional. In this case, additional options for channels may be indicated. Most often used in HD broadcasts.

The lines in the file look something like this:

R: {{2F4F} {0500} {023700} {0FA6} {0500} {030600} {0BBE}}.

What does this sequence mean? The value {2F4A} is the broadcast seed, {0500} is the Viaccess encoding, {023700} is the replaced identifier, {0FA6} is the ECM PID. Next are the corrective values. That is, {0500} is the new encoding, {030600} is the new identifier that replaces the current one, {0BBE} is the correct ECM PID corresponding to the channel.

Also, configuring the MGCamd plugin may require working with the mg_cfg file, in which configuration parameters are recorded.

After the files we have reviewed are properly edited - provided that this is required due to the specifics of the server - you must restart the receiver. This is best done this way:

- first you need to put the device into standby mode using the appropriate button on the remote control;

- after that - turn off by means of the toggle switch located in the back of the device.

In turn, turning on the receiver should be done in the reverse order. When the device boots up, select the “Plug-in” menu item and press OK.

This is how the MGCamd emulator is configured. Of course, these are very “framework” criteria. In some cases, more detailed editing of the files will be required in order to correctly use the MGCamd emulator. Fine tuning the receiver in some cases, in addition, may require the participation of qualified specialists in the field of television equipment.

Configuring the receiver and connecting it to the network

The tasks noted by us can be supplemented by the need to configure the receiver type GI 8120, as well as connecting it to the network. How can these actions be performed?

In some cases, it is possible to connect the receiver to a PC using the crossover method or via Wi-Fi.

In order to ensure the correct interaction between the receiver and the router, you can use the DHCP protocol. This will allow, in particular, the router to automatically determine the required network parameters. In order to use the DHCP protocol, you need to enter the receiver settings and set the ON option opposite the DHCP item.

But it may well turn out that the DHCP server is not used on the router. In this case, you will need to enter the LAN settings manually.

After the user completes the network setup, it will be necessary to specify the correct settings regarding the video output in the receiver control interface.
