UAZ Hunter replaced the UAZ-3151 (or 469), which was produced for more than thirty years. Externally, the new SUV resembles its legendary predecessor, but it was created on a completely new platform. The use of modern components and a set of the latest technical solutions allowed us to create a reliable and easy to use, dynamic and economical, comfortable and stable off-road vehicle. And of course, the traditional virtues inherent in all UAZ cars have been preserved - a low price with high traffic.
Now this is not a military car with a strict design with no frills, but a modern SUV that can well fit into the city stream. At first glance at the UAZ Hunter (photo below), more aesthetic and safer plastic bumpers with built

fog lights, decorative fenders and 16-inch wheels can be noted. Sliding glasses are now installed instead of pivot glasses. This greatly improves visibility, ventilation and makes it easy to access rear-view mirrors to adjust them. Thanks to the double contour of the door seal, the car has become less noisy. The microclimate also became better maintained and less moisture penetrated into the cabin. The tailgate is hinged, and the version with an awning is installed on-board. Looks good and the spare tire in the case, hung on the back door. By the way, for an additional fee, you can put alloy wheels on the UAZ Hunter or repaint the car in metallic color.
Significant changes have been made and the car interior.
The interior space now allows you to comfortably accommodate both passengers and the driver. The new front seats can be adjusted (tilt the back, longitudinally, change the lumbar support), which allows people of different physiques to comfortably accommodate. But the
steering column is not adjustable neither on a departure, nor on height.
The back row is also quite comfortable. There is enough legroom for even very tall people. The rear row chairs can only be adjusted by the backrest. On even this only function significantly adds comfort. To get a berth, the seats can be lowered. For an extra charge in UAZ Hunter, you can install a couple more seats.
Landing is high, no steps. The torpedo is made of dark gray plastic. The speedometer is somewhere under the wheel, which is why the readings from it are difficult to read. On the center console, there are still
sensors for the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the battery charge, the amount of fuel and oil pressure. But it is not very easy to read information from them, since the devices are located parallel to the dashboard.
Designed for the cold winter, the UAZ Hunter, whose tuning can be done at a special car dealership, got floors covered with carpet. By pressing the switch, the stove turns on. There are no temperature adjustments; only the blowing force can be changed (strong mode and medium). If it is very cold outside, you can open the damper, because of which air will flow directly from the fan. This will allow you to warm the air faster.
UAZ Hunter can supply one of the engines: a 16-valve gasoline (2,700 l., 140 hp), a carburetor UMZ-409.10 (2,900 l., 100 hp), a diesel ZMZ-5143 (2,240 l., 98 h.p.), 4CT90-Andoria turbodiesel (2,400 l., 86 h.p.). Also installed LUK-clutch, five-speed manual transmission, helical transfer case, spicer axles, disc brakes. Front suspension spring, rear spring.
UAZ Hunter is simple and unpretentious in maintenance. Good dynamic characteristics of this car, moderate fuel consumption, excellent cross-country ability and high load capacity will please its future owner.
