First, let's talk about the theoretical side of the issue. We all know that the unique property of liquids is their incompressibility, which is used as the basis of the entire system. So, when you press the pedal, we push the piston, which is located in the brake master cylinder. Tubes depart from it, through which the brake fluid under pressure of the piston moves to the calipers and to the working cylinders. This pressure, it must be said, sometimes reaches 3 MPa. After it enters the caliper or the working cylinder, the fluid transfers pressure to the piston, and it, in turn, transfers it to the brake shoe.
Now consider how to pump the brakes in practice. In general, there are many ways. For their implementation, various devices are used that allow pumping the brakes alone. Let's start with a simple one. The very first way talks about how to pump the brakes with an assistant. For this, a lift or other sophisticated equipment is not necessary. First you need to fill the tank located above the main brake cylinder. Now we need to start from the farthest wheel. The assistant must make a few presses on the pedal - this will create pressure in the system. Now a hose is put on the caliper fitting, and he himself unscrews it. Then it spins (all this happens when the pedal is depressed), after which the procedure is repeated until air bubbles no longer flow into the hose. Next, go to another wheel on the same axis. We carry out all the described actions with it and move on to another axis. At this time, you should constantly monitor the liquid level in the tank. This is one way to pump the brakes.

The car needs to be installed on a hill, it is better if it is a lift. Next, one end of the hose must be put on the fitting, and the second on the container with vacuum. A pear with a volume of 250 ml will perfectly cope with this role. Now we unscrew the fitting, after which we make a few pedal presses. Here you must constantly monitor the vacuum. If it is not there, then the air will go back into the system, and everything will have to be done again. With other wheels, the procedure is the same.
Here are two basic ways that can come in handy while pumping the brakes. In addition, it is worth remembering about the harmfulness of the brake fluid and thoroughly wash your hands after work.
