When purchasing a vehicle of the previous year of production, it is formally considered used, although it has not yet been in operation. In this case, the machine will have to pass the first technical inspection after not 3, but 2 years.

Therefore, when traveling abroad, a diagnostic card is needed even for a new car. I must say that not all countries control its availability with the car owner. At the same time, if there is a suspicion that the car is faulty, they can check its technical condition there themselves. And if problems are found, you will have to return home.
Do I renew my policy if the diagnostic card runs out?
Previously, insurance could be issued only when the inspection for compulsory motor third-party liability insurance was valid for at least another 6 months. There is currently no such need. Even if, for example, the card expires on June 30, a new policy can be issued on the same day. Now there is no ticket, and a six-month period can not be respected.

Each driver, while driving, must have with him a compulsory insurance policy, a certificate of registration of the car and a driver's license. Will compensation be paid if the validity period of the coupon has expired?
The changes that have appeared in car insurance have raised many questions. For example, is a technical inspection necessary if there is a policy, or what should I do if the diagnostic card has expired?

It is also a taxi and a vehicle with more than 8 seats, which are designed for passenger transportation. Drivers of such vehicles must not drive without a valid diagnostic card. Otherwise, an administrative fine is imposed on them.
What to look for when going through MOT?
The changes that have received inspection and CTP 2014 are as follows. Traffic police can no longer carry out a technical inspection. This function has completely passed into the hands of specialized diagnostic centers with appropriate accreditation.
When undergoing maintenance, you should pay attention to a special service station. Issued cards must have a 21-digit number. If the center provides services at a lower cost, there is reason to think about its legitimacy.
So, to distinguish a fake card from a real one, you need to pay attention to the following:
- low cost of passing the service station;
- check PCA accreditation;
- number should consist of 21 digits.
After completing the maintenance, employees send a copy of the document to the unified technical inspection system (briefly EAISTO). Data is stored there for five years. Therefore, they are easy to track as needed.
