Evgeny Feklistov: biography and creativity

Feklistov Evgeny Sergeevich - Russian musician. He was born in 1968 in the city of Tartu (Estonia). As a child, he tried several times to break into the school choir, but the teachers did not accept the young man, because he allegedly had no hearing. After serving two years in the construction battalion of the Soviet Army, our hero entered the specialty “applied mathematics” - according to him, due to the fact that Boris Grebenshchikov graduated from the same specialty. Since the late 80s, Eugene Feklistov began to actively compose lyrics for songs, write them with a friend classmate. In 1989, he created the solo magnetic album Pathology in Tallinn and performed at a rock festival, captivating the audience with the witty song Alekseev. After these events, he created his own group, “Pinator Vola,” and recorded two music albums with musicians.

In 1995, Yevgeny Feklistov moved to St. Petersburg and initially performed in apartment buildings, and a year later he recorded the first album intended for sale. Gradually, he acquired useful acquaintances with famous rock artists, with whom he later participated in festivals. In 1998, a musical group led by Feklistov approved the name “The End of the Film”, which remains unchanged to this day.

In 2000, work began on a new album, already in Moscow. The composition from the collection “Yellow Eyes” took the fourth place of the TOP “Chart Dozen” of the radio station “Our Radio”. Increasingly, the group’s songs appeared on radio stations. One of the compositions was used as a soundtrack to the popular film “Happy Birthday, Lola”. Feklistov and "The End of the Film" increasingly held concerts.

The album "Stones Falling Up", released in 2005, became a landmark for the group. It is with this disc that the fans have an understanding of the group as a unique, original collective with their own style. One of the most successful songs of this period is the composition “Spring”. In 2004, a new wave of popularity surged across the team when the song “Youth in Boots” and some other compositions were heard by the audience of the famous series “Soldiers”. Also, the musicians themselves appeared in the series: they played themselves, giving a concert in front of the military. Now in some military units “Youth in Boots” is performed as a combat song.

In 2005, an album called “Zavoloklom” was released, which was not marked by new hits, but was nevertheless warmly received by the audience. A year later, Evgeni Feklistov accidentally met with Nikolai Drozdov, host of the program “In the world of animals”. Gave him a disc "Overcast". So Yevgeny Feklistov had the idea to record the song “Thrushes” together with Nikolai Nikolaevich. Subsequently, she often appeared on the air. The year 2007 was marked for the group “The End of the Film” by participating in several television programs, charity events and concerts, as well as by creating the album “Fatal Eggs”. According to Feklistov, this album is remembered for its energy, drive and fun. This year, the group did work on compositions for the mini-series "All that is needed is love."

Tragedy

A further break in the work of Yevgeny Feklistov was associated with the tragic death of his brother Dmitry in 2008. After 3 years, the disc “Far”, a very personal disc for our hero, was released, many of the songs of which are dedicated to this close person.
