If you are the owner of a VAZ Classic car (from 2101 to 2107), then you have often had to decide whether to increase the dynamics of the car or reduce fuel consumption. If the engine is called the heart of the car, then the carburetor can safely be called a heart valve. Fuel consumption is completely dependent on the carburetor setting. It also depends on the correct setting.

The DAAZ carburetor consists of the main parts: a diffuser, a throttle, a jet and a float chamber. If carburetor replacement is required, then you must be able to choose among a large number one that will meet certain conditions and will fit the desired engine cubic capacity. The most revered to date has remained the DAAZ carburetor. From 1970 to 1982, a DAAZ 2101, 2103, 2106 carburetor was installed, manufactured at the Dimitrovsky Automobile Plant. The old ones were replaced by new carburetors, 2105-2107. They have already improved the system compared to their predecessors, and they have a new name - "Ozone". This name indicates the environmental friendliness of the DAAZ carburetor. Their installation in our time is made on the "Classic".

If we take the operation manual, then the rules state that the adjustment of the DAAZ 2107 carburetor should be carried out on a regular basis, thus, it will be possible to achieve fuel economy, while the engine performance will not be lost. The DAAZ carburetor consists of a large number of rubbing parts, which, when worn out, require mandatory adjustment.

Adjusting the DAAZ carburetor consists of several stages. First you need to adjust the drive rods . To do this: unscrew and remove the air filter with the housing, measure the length between the centers of the thrust tips (it should be 80mm). For any deviation, you will have to remove the tip. Using a 8-key, loosen the locknut and rotate the tip to the required rod length. Now you can tighten the locknut and put the rod in place.

It is necessary to check the opening of the first throttle chamber at the moment of pressing the gas pedal to the stop. If this does not happen, then the lever of this damper has an additional stroke.

Using a screwdriver, remove the plastic tip from the intermediate link of the longitudinal link. Now you need to release the lock nut and reduce the length of the rod. Put the rod in place and check again how the damper opens.

When the pedal is released, the throttle should close. If this does not work out, then you need to lengthen the traction. To do this, release the choke cable mount. In the passenger compartment, the handle that controls the air damper must be completely retracted. To open the flap, press the three-arm lever and immediately tighten the locking screw.

Now, pulling out the choke knob, close it. Slide the handle all the way again. After making sure that the shutter is fully open, tighten the locking screw.

Any car model uses a carburetor with a falling flow. That is, air falling into the carburetor from above, falls vertically down. Air is mixed with fuel, which enters through the jets.
