Kovalevsky was entrusted with the duties of the rector, and in December 2015 he was appointed to this position in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of our country. V.A. Kovalevsky has long been working at the Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical University. He became a university employee in 1986. Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University consists of five faculties, five institutes and one department. In all these structural units, students are trained in a wide range of areas. There are also 43 departments where certain subjects are taught.

The Department is a unique structural unit at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University. It was created recently. In 2016, D.G. Mindiashvili, who is the head of the department of methodology and theory of struggle, voiced thoughts about creating a new educational unit in a higher educational institution.
