Childhood and youth
Temrezov Rashid was born on March 14, 1976 in a family that knew all the hardships of deportation. Rashid's grandparents, along with other 75 thousand Karachais, were forcibly relocated from their native republic to the bare steppes of Central Asia in 1943. His parents were born in Kyrgyzstan, and returned to Cherkessk only in the fifty-seventh year.
Temrezov’s father is the most famous surgeon in the republic. In his footsteps went the older brother of Rashid Marat, who became famous for his unique heart operations. And all in all, three sons were raised in the Temrezov family, of whom Rashid was average.
The five of us lived in a three-room apartment allocated by the state, until my father built his own house in the ninety-first year. The brothers studied at secondary school number 3. In childhood, the future head of the KCR took a serious interest in football and cars - he drove from the age of thirteen, and closer to graduation he received an old “Zhiguli” as a present from his father.
Having received a certificate of maturity, Temrezov Rashid enrolled in absentia at Moscow Open Social University. He studied management, as well as finance and credit. He graduated from high school in 1998.
Career in business
Rashid Borispievich made his first steps in business in the early nineties - barely crossing the school threshold. Times came hard, and it was impossible to wait for the weather by the sea. I had to spin. Temrezov tried many activities - he knew the joy of victories and the bitterness of defeat. And by the time he graduated, he was already an experienced businessman, which allowed a graduate to get a good job - in the commercial department of Karachay-Cherkessknefteprodukt OJSC. Soon Temrezov Rashid Borispievich took up the post of commercial director of the construction department, and then the head of the department at another enterprise - OAO Sevkavgidroenergostroy.
There were in his career and senior positions in the civil service. So, for example, in 2004 he headed the Department of Capital Construction of the KCR; and in 2010 he headed the "Office of Federal Highways in the KCR of the Federal Highway Agency", getting closer and closer to the most important "steering wheel" of the republic.
Political activity
The political activity of the future head of the KCR began in 2007, when Temrezov Rashid joined the Just Russia party and even headed its regional branch. True, he was soon removed from his duties after a scandal and investigation, during which Temrezov was accused of corruption.
Nevertheless, in 2009, Rashid Borispeevich was elected to the KCR Parliament. And in the same year, this man was included in the personnel reserve of the President of the Russian Federation. Big horizons opened ahead. And the next dizzying round of a political career was not long in coming.
The rise. Head of the KCR - Rashid Temrezov
On February twenty-sixth, 2011, Temrezov, who at that time was already a member of the United Russia party, was appointed acting president of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, in accordance with a decree of President of the Russian Federation Medvedev, and only a few days later, on March 1, the prefix "acting" was canceled - Rashid Borispievich was approved for the main post of the Republic by its People's Assembly. True, from April 7, he began to be called not the President, but the head in connection with changes in the Constitution of the KCR, but this did not change the essence of the matter.
As head of the KCR, Temrezov Rashid Borispievich noted several important achievements. He optimized the staff of municipal employees, significantly reducing their number; He did a great job in attracting tourists to the Republic, as a result of which the flow increased by 43%; paid a lot of attention to repairing pavement on highways; oversaw the construction of two major enterprises - a shoe factory and a cement plant; significantly expanded the network of kindergartens, schools, hospitals and sports complexes in the territory of the Republic; introduces digital broadcasting in the KCR, etc. Among the tasks that the head sets for himself are the airport in Cherkessk and direct communication of the city by road with Adler. According to Temrezov, these two objects will significantly increase the tourist flow in the KCR. Among other things, the Republic is fighting corruption. True, the regional media note that it is not particularly successful.
According to Rashid Borispievich himself, a high position did not kill an ordinary person in him. If the street is not very hot, he goes to work on foot, enjoys talking with fellow countrymen and even listens to their complaints.
On February 27, 2016, the term of office of the head of the KCR expired, and Vladimir Putin again appointed him acting until the new head (which, of course, Temrezov himself can become) is elected.
Personal life
The family is a special pride of the first person of Karachay-Cherkessia. He has been legally married since 2005. The wife of Rashid Temrezov gave him four children and, as is often the case in the Caucasus, devoted herself completely to their upbringing. A happy father has three daughters and a son. The family lives in their own home. But he is located on the territory of the yard, which is one with the house of the parents of Rashid Borispievich, so the contact with relatives remains very close.
Hobbies
Since childhood, Temrezov Rashid is fond of football. He is a fan of the Moscow Spartak. Another long-standing hobby is cars. True, the head of the KCR, in his words, has only two of them - and both are of domestic production. Among the relatively new interests is tennis. Well, and he considers his main hobbies to be children whom he should grow up worthy, respecting the traditions of his people, and work aimed at improving the life of fellow countrymen.
