How to make gooseberry jam with oranges

In the summer, when there are so many fresh fruits and berries, you need to think about winter. Many housewives dry, freeze the fruits and make jam or jam from them. It should be noted that the recipe for this treat is quite simple, and the ingredients are easily available. So, per kilogram of berries you will need 2 oranges of medium size and 1.5 kg of sugar. Now all this is passed through a meat grinder, and sugar is poured into the resulting mass. You can then use two methods to make gooseberry jam with oranges. In the first case, the sugar mixes well until it is completely dissolved. After that, the resulting mass is poured into sterilized small banks and sealed with plastic lids. Such a workpiece is stored in a cold place, preferably no more than 2 months.

If you take another method, then the resulting citrus berry puree with sugar is put on fire and brought to a boil. After that, a glass of hot water is poured here, and gooseberry jam with oranges is boiled at a low temperature for another hour. The finished dish should be thick enough. It spills hot on glass jars that are rolled up with lids.

The original taste with "sourness" has gooseberry jam with lemon and oranges. To do this, the berries are washed, moved, poured with water and put on fire. Citrus fruits are peeled and pitted, cut into circles, put on gooseberries. Next, the ingredients are brought to a boil and left on low heat. The approximate cooking time will be an hour, but you should focus on fruits and berries, which should become quite soft. After that, they cool, grind through a sieve. Sugar is poured into the resulting puree, and everything is again put on the stove, where at least a half hour is cooked on a small fire. Gooseberry jam with orange and lemon is laid out in prepared dishes. It should be noted that citrus fruits will give the dish a special sophistication, as a result of which it will be moderately sweet and very fragrant.

In most cases, sugar is recommended to put as many kilograms as berries. However, since this is a matter of taste, you can slightly modify the recipe, making gooseberry jam with oranges slightly acidic or slightly sweeter. You can also use lemon with zest, then it should be scrolled through a meat grinder or chopped in a blender. The resulting blank has a bright color and original taste.

You can make cold jam with these ingredients, and cook it in the usual way. If you need to make jam, then the berries are pre-softened on fire, then rubbed through a sieve. In this case, orange is better to use without the skin, only the flesh. Combining these ingredients, sugar is put here, boil for some time. Shortly before the end of cooking, pre-soaked gelatin is added to the mass. This dish is necessarily poured hot on the banks.
