School Description
Armavir State Pedagogical University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the south of the Russian Federation. Teachers in Armavir began to be trained in 1923 on the basis of the established technical school. He existed for almost 20 years. From 1942 to 1943 the educational institution did not function due to the occupation of the city by the Nazis.
In 1944, the technical school did not exist. It was renamed the teacher training college. In 1948, on the basis of this educational institution, the Armavir Teachers' Institute was opened, which in 1954 was reorganized into a pedagogical institute. This is the story of the emergence of the university that currently exists in Armavir.
Currently, FSBEI HE AGPU is the scientific, pedagogical, cultural and methodological center of the Kuban.
