It turns out that men's shirt sizes consist of two parts: neck volume and sleeve length. For example, 17 ½ and 37-38. If when measuring it turned out not an integer, but, for example, 37.5, then you need to round it to the integer and in a larger direction.
Remember that 1 inch = 2, 54 cm. Knowing this, you can easily convert inches to centimeters and vice versa.
There are international (European and American) standards, where all sizes are indicated by letter values:
XS (Extra Small) - very small sizes of shirts;
S (Small) - small sizes;
M (Middle) - medium-sized shirts;
L (Large) - men's shirts of large sizes;
XL (Extra Large) - very large size;
XXL (Double Extra Large) is a huge size.
But American literal meanings are generally less than European. Those. if you know that your European size is M, and the dimension line on the tag is American, then choose size S, etc.
Some, choosing men's shirts, determine the size “the old fashioned way” - measure the circumference of the chest and divide the result into two. For example, when measuring your breasts, you get 92.
