The past days of the monastery
The Temple of the Miraculous Image of Christ the Savior survived a lot of various events. Its construction began during the ban of the emperor to erect structures from sandstone only in cities on the Neva.
In 1714, Prince Golitsyn wrote a petition to the tsar himself with a request to allow the construction of a church on his lands. With some hesitation, the emperor gave permission, but imposed a tax collected from all clergymen and their courtyards, located next to the temple.
The temple acted as an independent parish with its priest, clerk and clerk. There were few people in the parish, most of them from the courtyard of the prince and his family. The burial places of church attendants and members of the family of Ivan Alekseevich Tatyana and Nikolai were also located here.
In 1809, the temple of the miraculous image of Christ the Savior was assigned to the church, not far from Gireyev.
It so happened that the owners near the land lying changed quite often. They tried to maintain the structure in proper form, but their hands did not reach the interior decoration. Books, church utensils, an iconostasis, clothes became worthless.
According to the will of Princess Golitsyna four times a year, the services of visitors to the priest were corrected. Every year, the landowners paid him a salary of 150 rubles.
The temple of the Miraculous Image of Christ the Savior remained ascribed until the beginning of the twentieth century.
Changes
Changes occurred with the beginning of the technological revolution. Then in 1904, the owner of the land and estates Gireyevo decided to equip a new village with all amenities. Everyone could buy a piece of land or take an installment plan for its purchase in the office.
When the town was rebuilt, local residents realized that the services carried out from Easter to Pokrova were few. In addition, the church building was completely dilapidated and required major repairs. The landowner Torletsky wrote a petition to the Metropolitan on holding services in the winter, and for this he will rebuild a new church.
The request was approved with the condition that the existing building will be restored, but it will not receive its own parish.
So, the temple of the miraculous image of Christ the Savior in Novogireevo became operational and received a new life. In 1912, funds were raised and restoration began.
