This method of personal care has been known to women all over the world since ancient times. After all, various oils had a truly miraculous effect, giving shine and volume to the hair, as well as prolonging the youth of the skin of the face and body. In ancient Egypt and in the harems of the Sultans, there was a cult of self-care, and the beauties of all continents needed a product with an amazing aroma, which, when in contact with the skin, acquired a unique shade. Today, solid oil has become popular, and we’ll talk about its properties.
Types of Butter
Vegetable oil of varying degrees of fat content, preserving its solid texture at temperatures up to 24 degrees, is called butter.
This product belongs to natural cosmetics, and you can buy it in the form of solid oil in the form of a tile, a relatively soft creamy consistency product, as well as in the form of scrubs of different densities, cleansing and nourishing substances, including soap.
All this diversity can be made both by individual entrepreneurs and on the basis of perfume factories. The percentage of solid oil and other plant components can vary from 20% to 100%.
This natural product is especially in demand in the spa sector, where many elements of the cosmetic line cannot be imagined without it.
Exposure spectrum
Solid oil is indispensable for skin in need of hydration. It can be used for preventive purposes to slow down the aging process, since it perfectly nourishes and moisturizes the dermis, while restoring its turgor.
Despite the solid consistency, the oil, getting on clean and dry skin, begins to gradually warm up and spreads over its surface. This is used in massage practice, allowing you to convey beneficial substances to the deepest layers of the skin. It should be noted that the product should be applied on dry skin. If it is wet, then “spools” may form on it.
Mode of production
According to the method of obtaining solid oil is divided into two types:
- Natural or batter. It is extracted by pressing from plant materials: shea, cocoa, mango, capuasu. All of them grow in countries with a tropical climate. There are varieties of refined and unrefined. Of course, these oils are highly valued, like all natural.
- Created artificially by combining a single unrefined natural part with vegetable oils that have undergone hydrolysis. These products are of lower quality. However, valuable elements are present in them.
In the manufacture of oils of solid structure, their percentage composition may be at best 100%. But another ratio of natural squeezing and vegetable base is also possible, which affects the price. By the way, all these products are “friends” with each other.
In order to maximize the preservation of the beneficial properties of the product, its packaging must be leakproof. Sun exposure, as well as violation of the temperature regime (22-24 degrees) are extremely undesirable. Subject to these conditions, the oil can be stored for up to 2 years.
Beauty and health of hair
Nowadays, not only women but also men are concerned about hair health. And beauticians all over the world are looking for tools that can improve the condition of strands of both weak and strong half of the world's population. However, the time-tested classic is relevant at all times. Therefore, hair oil, both solid and ordinary, is in the trend of the most popular methods of care.
The spectrum of the product depends on the formulation and natural resource of plant materials. Oils have regenerating, strengthening the structure and enhancing hair growth properties to varying degrees. We can say that each of them is a diverse means.
The most popular are shea butter, known as "shea"; hard oils of cocoa, mango, coconut and palm, the reputation of which is pretty much spoiled by unscrupulous intermediary companies. Each of these natural products contains monobasic carboxylic acids that contribute to healthy hair.
Considering that all the beneficial properties of oils are much better preserved in the solid state, they are easily absorbed by even very sensitive scalp and are washed off without problems, it is better to opt for a batter with a comprehensive and long-term treatment of damaged hair.
As for the choice of a certain type of oil, personal preference and “contact” of the client with a specific aroma and its specific properties play an important role here.
Solid body oil
The hallmark of a woman’s health is the condition of her skin. With age, changes become especially noticeable in the neck and décolleté, as well as in the arms. However, the dermis of the face and the whole body needs nutrition and hydration. Therefore, the importance of natural solid oils in cosmetology is difficult to overestimate. Massage salons widely use the restoring and rejuvenating properties of these products, and their effectiveness is time-tested.
The line of oils used for body care is the same as for hair improvement: cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, etc. It should be noted that the solid consistency of some clients of cosmetic clinics is perceived with caution. However, concerns in this case are completely in vain. Oil in contact with the skin acquires the usual liquid structure, and further manipulations occur in the classical way.
The advantage of solid oil over liquid in its ability to better maintain a complex of nutrients: they are, as it were, in a preserved state and “come to life” after melting.
