Method number 1

Suction is carried out in the following way:
- screw the cap off the tank;
- lower a flexible tube there (the best option would be a regular tube from a medical system for blood transfusion);
- put on the other end a syringe having the largest volume, that is, twenty milliliters;
- by drawing the piston of the syringe, oil is sucked into it to the limit;
- after that, carefully disconnect the tube and drain the excess oil into the prepared container;
- the procedure is repeated until the liquid level is restored to the required level.
This method will help to extract as much oily liquid, so much has been inadvertently poured into the tank. The only drawback here may be that if too much oil is poured, then too much time will be spent on this. And if, in addition, the oil is bubbling up, then this procedure can even become dangerous. In this case, it is better to use another way to remove excess oil.
Method number 2
This method can only be used when the motor has cooled down well, otherwise you can get burns even from a heated plug.
So, the sequence of actions is as follows:
- a car is driven onto a flyover, a pit, or raised with a lift;
- the cork where oil is poured is unscrewed;
- then remove the drain plug on the crankcase, substituting the pan in advance so that oil spills there;
- after the excess fluid comes out, the cap is quickly and tightly screwed.
At the end, the oil level is checked using a dipstick. Indeed, it is bad for an engine not only when there is too much of it, but also when there is not enough lubricant. Therefore, if necessary, add oil. This method has several disadvantages:
- work, frankly, is not clean;
- unnecessary loss of oily liquid is also possible, since the volume for draining is determined by eye.
Therefore, the first method for removing excess oil is generally preferred. Although it is longer, it is cleaner and more economical.
Crankcase drain is resorted to only when there is absolutely no time, or in case of foaming oil.
Of course, in order not to get this trouble and not spend a lot of time solving it, it is better when the oil changes, be careful and regularly check the level with a dipstick.
On the role of oil in the engine
A person can live without eating anything for twenty days. Sometimes it can even benefit him. But for a car, oil starvation is extremely harmful and contraindicated. Without a lubricating fluid, the motor will very quickly fail, since it is lubrication that ensures its functioning, due to which it will live for a long time and in a healthy state.
