History of creation
The Dali Museum in Barcelona opened in 1974. It is located in the city of Figueres, which is actually a suburb of Barcelona. The exposition is located in the building of the old city theater, in which back in 1918, Salvador Dali presented his first works at a collective exhibition.
Many years later, Dali planned to create a museum in a ruined building, but not quite an ordinary one.
