Brian Philip Welch was born in Torrance, California in 1970, June 19. He is better known under the pseudonym Head. Our hero is a guitarist and one of the founders of the rock band Korn. early years
Brian "Head" Welch grew up in the town of Bakersfield. From an early age, our hero believed that he was different from his peers. For this reason, he became a victim of bullying and attacks. His main hobby was music. A young man at the age of 10 took up his guitar. At school, he saw James Shaffer. It was a budding guitarist. Musicians often began to play together.
Music career
Brian Welch met Reginald Arvisa at school. In the future, this person will become Korn's bass player. Together they organized a group. The team was named Pierct. Later, the association was renamed Toy. The composition has undergone several changes. As a result, James Schaffer, a guitarist, joined the band. Later, he will also become a member of Korn.
After the split, Rick Morrill and Reginald Arvizu formed LAPD. Also included in the group were “Monkeys” and David Silveria - the future drummer of Korn. Welch traveled with LAPD as a technical worker. The group signed a contract with independent studio Triple-X Record. As a result, the band appeared in 1992 with a single, as well as an album called Who's Laughing Now. Soon the group was renamed Creep. Welch was accepted into the team as a regular member. Rick Morrill - vocalist - left the band. Schaffer and Welch found Jonathan Davis, a member of the Sexart team. He became a vocalist. In 1993, the group was named Korn. This happened after the new singer joined the band.
Korn
The debut album of the group with this name appeared in 1994. It became the first in the list of successful collective records. Brian Welch, however, left the team. In 2005, representatives of the group reported that after thirteen years of joint work, the roads of unification and our hero diverged. Brian returned to Korn after only 8 years. The reunion took place in 2013.
Solo career
In 2008, the long-awaited release of the album entitled Save Me From Myself, the solo work of our hero, was held. Brian Welch has been working on this record since 2005.
