2013 Mercedes E-Class - sporty comfort and mid-range automation

In 2013, 20 years have passed since the Mercedes branding system was completely changed. Superiority in determining the brand of the car has moved from engine size to body type. The letter “E”, previously used to refer to the fuel injection system, now “migrated” to the name of the bodies corresponding to the German word “exekutivklasse”. Literally, this means almost the chosen ones, but in practice - cars for the normal middle class. Actually, the way it is, and E-class cars, along with Mercedes minibuses, are most often found on our roads.

2 years after the above innovation, in 1995, the production of the “four-eyed” E-Class Mercedes began, which in 2013 was a thing of the past. True, some continuity persists: the current E-Class Mercedes has more angular headlights separated by either LED stripes or a thin body line. Design innovations also touched the taillights, fenders and front bumper, which is now “cooler” than many “tuned” predecessors.

The new line of engines, improved in terms of power, dynamics and elasticity in the lower rev range, contributes to the more sporty appearance and character of the 2013 Mercedes E-Class . Changes are also noticeable in the cabin: the number of dials has decreased from five to three, the analog clock has returned, the shape of the steering wheel has changed. As for the rest, the feeling of sound and solid comfort in the Mercedes interior remained the same.

Mercedes E Class 2013

2013 Mercedes E-Class cars are equipped with a unique security system. Driver fatigue and head light levels are automatically controlled. Also under the control of the marking lines on the road and neighboring cars, obstacles to parking and even the presence of people crossing the road: if the 2013 Mercedes E-Class is moving at a speed of less than 50 km / h, then without the participation of the driver it will prevent a collision with an unlucky pedestrian.

Mercedes E 350

Four types of electronic systems are used to control the suspension: from soft and comfortable to hard and sports. Particularly interesting is the adaptive-pneumatic suspension control system in the all-wheel drive Mercedes E 350 4MATIC models .

An interesting novelty for the 2013 Mercedes E-Class cars was the automatic 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearboxes with steering wheel controls. The transition to manual control occurs simply because the driver starts to operate manually - the car "understands" the intentions of the owner.

Mercedes E 300

The most advanced in terms of current eco-trends is the Mercedes E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID. This is a full hybrid combining an electric motor with a capacity of 26 hp. with a diesel engine developing power up to 204 hp An electrical installation that loses in the proportion of capacities looks more impressive in the ratio of torque: for a diesel engine - 500 Nm, and for an electric motor - 280 Nm. Such characteristics make this hybrid a fairly dynamic car that can accelerate to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds, while diesel consumption is 4.1 liters per 100 km.

Despite the nationwide and wide-ranging focus of the E-Class, the 2013 models are distinguished by the exclusivity of a sporty design, advanced functions in the suspension control and many modern electronic systems that make life easier for a modern driver.
